FF VI for gameboy advance

Post by lost_within »

I was at kmart tonight and they always seem to have odd things. About a month ago i got Donkey konga 2 sealed there with bongos. Tonight i saw FFVI for the gameboy advance, im not sure what they are asking, i know i saw f-zero but it was like 29$. But hell DK was marked 50$ and came out to be like 25$. My question is even if its 30$ is it worth getting? They only had 1 copy so just curious if i should go back tomorrow.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Isn't that the same price it was when it came out? I dunno man, it's FF6. Personally, I never enjoyed the series, besides 7, and I find 6 to be especially crap. 4, I at least finished, but didn't really like it. 6 annoys me right from the start.

Ive never been a fan of it myself, i just know that for some reason all FF series end up going sky high in price after you cant find them lol. All i would do is buy it and resell it at some point. Of course the kmart is so damn ghetto NO ONE was around to ask to see the price, we saw literally TWO people working the entire night, NO ONE in the check out lines...it was horrible.

Somehow I'm not surprised. FF6 was my favorite of the series, and currently new it seems to be going for upper thirties, almost forty bucks. Ultimately it's your call, but if you haven't played it, it might be the cheapest new legit copy you'll find.

My favorite, too. But I haven't replayed it since it was new. Seems a little high, but not a rip off I guess.

I just got it off craigslsit for snes for 20. logged around 9 hours thus far and I love it. Though, for that money I'd just get the chrono remake for ds. You'll be thinking of that game alot while playing ffVI

Still a great game though. Highly recommended.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Ack speaks the truth. Cheapest you'll find it new from what I've seen. But I can pick up used complete compies here for around 18 bucks. And if you aren't going to keep it sealed....why buy it new?

I think FF3 on snes is amazing and probably my favorite 16-bit rpg. I haven't played the gba version so I don't know how it compares....but I've been playing FF V on gba for the last month or so and enjoying in thoroughly. It looks great especially on GBA player on my gamecube.

It has some slowdown, but overall it is a good port - I think it is better than the psx version, but that opinion is not held by all.

There are seriously people who consider the load-fest of the PSX versions to be better than the GBA entries? The only game where you can even make a case is FFIV Advance US vs. the PSX version, since FFIVA in the US suffered from a buggy combat system that involved the enemies not attacking half the time. And it was fixed in the EU release.
