this is actually the 3rd time I've started Indigo Prophecy haha. Back in 2011 I started it on PS2 after I had beaten Heavy Rain. I got sidetracked because of Together Retro or something and didn't get back to it. Then I picked it up on GOG a year or so later, though the original PC release was infamous for having controller issues (IE: a non-responsive right analog stick makes the game unplayable w/ controller). So I didn't make it very far there. Though I'm still glad I bought that version as the GOG extras like soundtrack were great.

Anyway, I've never actually beaten it, but I'm loving the remaster. It looks great and the controls are spot-on. There's also quite a few cool little added touches. Like now if you switch from Carla or Tyler the other one plays around on their smartphone. I also noticed that in Tyler's apartment he had a vinyl soundtrack for Beyond Two Souls in his collection.

I'd be curious to see what you think of the last third of that game.

IP is probably my favorite Quantic Dream game followed by Heavy Rain. Still disappointed about Beyond Two Souls so much potential and acting talent, but the story just felt flat I never gave a shit about any of the characters aside from Salim. Seemed like they got to caught up in trying to display Jodie's powers to really focus on the main story.

I think BEYOND suffered from the way it was told. The jumping around works great for a movie like Pulp Fiction, but not so much for games which are more than likely not going to be played in 1 or 2 sittings. I liked it, but it took awhile for my brain to process what it saw.

I think the thing I like most about the QD games is really having a strong main plot with multiple characters whose actions intertwine with one another to push the story forward. Beyond Two Souls was just Jodie at various stages in her life and I think spreading it out so much fudged it all up.

The lack of an immediate issue/threat also killed things I mean IP and HR take place in less then a month and B2S takes what 20+ years worth of events  .

I think it suffered a lot more from having poor writing. Jumping around like that would - and did - work well for showing her growing up and all.
What hurt it were some of the roles she was put in as a special agent, and then spending a bunch of time with characters/groups that had effectively nothing to do with anything (other than for David Cage to write homeless/disenfranchised people into the game).

Counting her growing up and all, yeah, but I think a good chunk of the game was over a period of a year or two at most, possibly just a few months.

Great Screenshots Noise! I think people are nailing it with the Beyond: Two Souls. I have played a bit of it and plan on finishing it, but I do not feel the impact of my decisions like I did with Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy. I am curious to know what is going on, but there isn't a huge focus on the mystery of what is going on. I don't see an overall plot developing or a goal.

I love Quantic Dream, but I do feel that there was a big of a disjointed sense of storytelling with Beyond. I am going to complete it though and see how things come together.
