If it weren't for him, I'd not know about a lot of bands/musicians. That's nearly all of his work right there, all the concerts he's seen and all the people he knew.

The new HTML5 Player for Youtube is fucking fantastic, cant believe it took them this long to switch from Flash.

Didn't they change to HTML5 a long time ago? I'm pretty sure I accessed youtube video from a tablet browser....maybe I'm wrong, who knows.

Either way, at leas tthey're not charging for it ala the escapist :P

That's what I thought too John. Already seeing that bubble head towards popping once Nintendo announced they're reprinting a lot of the more popular characters.

Awesome article! I worked at a Zaney Brainy toy store during the height of the craze. New release days were insane and I was a rock star for my grandmother who never had to wait in a single line and got all the newest beanies hand delivered from her loving grandson.

Sadly I also fell victim to the craze. It was hard not to. I finally unloaded a box of over 100 beanies a few years ago at a garage sale. I think I sold the whole lot for something like 15 bucks! Fortunately I didn't pay for any of them myself. They were my finders fee for keeping a steady supply flowing to grandma!
