like any sub-genre there are definitely defining qualities to Trap: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trap_music
It is typified by its aggressive lyrical content and sound, where the instrumentals are propelled by 808 kick drums or heavy extended sub-bass lines, double-time, triple-time and other faster time division hi-hats, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings.

It has alot of elements of trap as far as the beat-slow hypnotizing, synth, deep bass line. Not to mention it rips off og maco Vocals are just jacked up, in my opinion. Could be a language thing. Guess there is no Japanese word for motherfucker?

That's another element of trap. Scream out random words/phrases for no reason.

I haven't updated y'all on my collection in a while!

So, after Christmas and Valentine's Day (my girlfriend got me an album as a gift, so awesome), here's where my vinyl collection stands:

- Biggie: Ready to Die
- Nas: Illmatic
- Jay-Z: The Black Album
- Dr. Dre: The Chronic
- Snoop Dogg: Doggystyle
- The Samurai Champloo OST

It's not a big collection by any means, but I think it's covering some of the essentials!

Basically all of the music from the show, which is very hip-hoppy, so I include it. It's the pride of my collection - they only did one printing of it (1000 total sets, I believe), and my girlfriend got it right when it came out for $25. It's since ballooned to over $500 It's since ballooned to at least $85.

Have I mentioned that my girlfriend's the fuckin' best?
