I think the Wii U has the biggest lineup of exclusive AAA games of any current gen system, though they also have a year head start and their titles are very "last gen" in their aesthetics. Many of those exclusives are really very fun and worth playing, though.

I think there have been some noteworthy AAA games for the PS4/X1 which have been console exclusive. Notably stuff like Destiny, Infamous Second Son, Sunset Overdrive, Killzone Shadowfall, Killer Instinct, and Forza Horizon 2 have made (for me) owning a current gen console worth it. By the end of next month I am hoping I can add The Order 1886, Bloodborne, and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD to that list. Entries in annual sports series like the Madden and NHL series have remained on consoles and other games that I've not played like Driveclub have their fanbases too.

So I think we're at a comparable point to the previous gen in terms of the number and quality of AAA exclusives for the newest consoles. I also think that MS' aggressive changes to the price and package of the X1 shows that there's certainly a good-old-fashioned console war going on.

Could be worse. The entire country could be fused into one street

Though the most un-realistic thing about that stage would be a Greek street having 4 lanes of traffic.

Both very different experiences. Do you want an adventure or an endurance test?

Aria of Sorrow is my favorite Castlevania . I love the gameplay mechanics and even the story. My only complaint might be that it's a bit too short but Dawn of Sorrow picks up where it left off to scratch the itch.

But it really depends on if you want a Metroidvania or a traditional Castlevania. You can't go wrong with both.

The absolute moron who did my Majora's Mask 3DS preorder at gamestop didn't put in my apartment number, so now I have to wait until tomorrow to get my new 3DS. So. Much. Rage.

It looks to me the Wii U is the one that has the best exclusives to offer so far, but many of those games are just revamped games from past like Mario Kart and Super Smash

I think last gen. was in a better state. PS3 had new IPs like Assassin Creed, Folklore, Army of Two and Uncharted within a year of release but I guess we are getting to that point now as The Order, Bloodborne and Elder Scrolls Online are approaching

As has been said before -- very different experiences. Aria of Sorrow was, like many Metroidvanias, laughably easy IMO (if you want to get every soul it's really only repetitive, not hard)... but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I still greatly enjoyed playing it. Dracula X (assuming you're talking the SNES version) is a standard 'Vania -- tough as nails, mostly-linear, and much more standard whip work.

Both great titles though.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread
