I'm more amazed your coworkers know what a Turbografx-16 is or know enough about it to have an opinion of it.

Lol they also suggested to sell the system if I like having money in my pocket.
Your co-workers are incorrect. There are many platform exclusives that are awesome. The Bonk series for example or Final Lap Twin. And certain games are best on the system, such as Splatterhouse.

I think the conversation probably went like this.....

mas: "I bought some old game system. Called the TurboGrafx-16."
co-workers: "Never heard of it. Sounds like a piece of crap. Just sell it and buy something new."

But yeah, mas, hold on to that console. It's awesome.

So the guys at work knows about the tg16. I'm not going to sell it. I'm not going nuts buying games left and right, but I will be on the lookout especially here on racketboy if anyone is selling tg16 games.
Its going to take patience and I guess im going to have to just buy the hu cards only

So how does everyone feel about the current/new gen. so far?

If you ask me, excitement is pretty stale for all 3 consoles. During the same period of the ps3/360/Wii lifetime , there was a serious console war happening and seriously good games (MGS 4, Gears of War, Super Mario Galaxy)

I think there have been a lot of cool small games, like Freedom Planet or FTL: Faster than Light that I think will stick out for a long while even if they don't reach the classics. On the big budget row, there's really not a lot that has caught my eye, though.

I think everyone is doing great. The WiiU is moving in stride with a phenomenal first-party lineup like Mario Kart 8, Bayonettta 2, Smash Bros., Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super MArio 3D World etc. The PS4 and XboxOne each have their fair share of decent exclusives and their cross-platform games are awesome. Titles like Shadows of Mordor, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dying Light, Evolve etc. gives them some amazing clout. Sure there isn't anything that screams NEXT GEN and some of those games are featured on the older systems, but I still find a fun game to be fun, regardless of the system.

I am watching a video of Turbo Outrun and I for one am appalled at its inaccurate depiction of San Antonio.

Agreed with all of this, though I'd argue Bayo2 isn't first-party (they helped to get it published, but not Ninty's IP at all)
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
