Just stick to Mischief Makers. Do not waste your time on Yoshi's Story!
I just had to get that out I think because I loathed the game so hard even as a kid haha, it was an utter disappointment coming out of Yoshi's Island, which is not even my favorite Mario game but wow, the drop in quality is insane. I guess it's best to pretend they aren't related at all and Yoshi's Story is just a completely stand alone stinky spinoff.
Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?

So far it seems that every single yoshi's island game that has come out didn't reach the fun from the original on the SNES.Xeogred wrote:Just stick to Mischief Makers. Do not waste your time on Yoshi's Story!

Probably because the SNES one was the last Yoshi game produced by Miyamoto himself.Damm64 wrote:So far it seems that every single yoshi's island game that has come out didn't reach the fun from the original on the SNES.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Hate on Yoshi's Story is in no way an unpopular opinion. SMW2 had the polish and everything done right, for the reason that was posted above me.

Well Yoshi's Story has intrigued me to the point to where I think I'm just gonna go ahead and buy it.

This is exactly how I feel about RPGs.Thierry Henry wrote:Do you find that RPG's exhaust you? That they almost feel like work?![]()

That the time v the reward is not overly worth it?
In my case I would possibly exclude the "action RPG" genre, but other than that most other RPG's just don't do it for me.
Not sure if that's an "unpopular gaming opinion" or not.
That's all I got.

Anyone else happen to find the StarCraft games utterly boring?

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
I bought this on the Wii VC because it was one of the few N64 titles I'd never picked up. Finished it in about an hour. Was slightly disappointed. I mean come on, this was easier than a Kirby platformer!Xeogred wrote:Do not waste your time on Yoshi's Story!
Found out a few years later it has multiple paths so the playthrough can be different each time. Played again. Thought better of it. Just needs a difficulty curve!
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
A little, but mostly just insanely cheap. It builds too much too fast and just mauls you after not very long into starting the game. I ended up getting bored and annoyed with it as the fun got sucked out and even using a cheat trainer for speed build and cash didn't improve the amusement value. RTS games got away from me after C&C Red Alert/Warcraft 2 because they got too full of themselves, just plain stupid and self serving to an ever shrinking niche of die hard RTS fans of which some will play so long they'll end up dead at the keyboard.Sano wrote:Anyone else happen to find the StarCraft games utterly boring?

With Yoshi's Story you really need to be aiming to get the 30 light green melons in each level. Otherwise the game is way too short and simple and you miss a lot of its more interesting diversions. Even then though, no way near Yoshi 's Island.
