Who said I didn't? I'm not upset either. I just think it's bad in any market to under ship stuff grossly to stir up demand. I get playing it safe, but at a point you do cross the line into screwing with people who you want to buy you stuff to keep you in business. When those very people are first day buyers who are desperate enough will be dumb and buy it second hand from some poacher who will ask a premium and annoyingly do it to Nintendo's own loss.

And yes some of you are acting like children, and if it wasn't for the fact I scrolled this down with past posts since I have ds on block I wouldn't have seen that really immature post he made too. If you want me gone so badly petition for it but I'm not going to give you the satisfaction. If someone is going to act like a kid I'll say so, I'm not sorry if that bothers you.

Wait, so can you see my posts or not? I don't see how scrolling changes ignore settings...

In any case, in the past anyone who has felt it necessary to denounce a large segment of the board as "childish" or whatever has just not made it here. I'm merely suggesting that you save yourself the inevitable and drawn-out piss party that looms. You are painting yourself as an outsider who is just so much better than all of us, so you may as well go be better by yourself.

You just completely miss the point that there are plenty of us who offer lots of critiques of everything video game-related (including Nintendo). There is a tradition here of regular back and forth on things where we engage one another, argue, counter-argue, agree to disagree, etc. But that tradition includes calling out poorly made arguments --- which is about 90% of what you bring to the table. When people dismiss you it isn't so much because they are being childish or defensive but because you aren't capable of making well reasoned and supported arguments. Instead we get stuff where you personify and demonize companies for their business tactics, where you misunderstand what has happened or the reasons for various events, etc. This thread is just another to add to the previous litany of nonsense that you offer here.

When you're having trouble getting along with so many other people (that get along with each other fine) and have been booted from another forum previously, perhaps you should consider that it's something that you're doing, not everyone else.

The only site I've ever had an issue with in twenty years now was NintendoAge, and that removal wasn't black and white either as I was told by a friend on staff because I didn't clearly break any rule.

Either way, I get what you're saying, but I entirely disagree in this situation. I feel I've done nothing in the least bit wrong here. I pointed out a shortage was intentional, got dumped on for it, called them children, and I'm in the bad? I just don't see it. That's why I said, in the last post if I'm going to be shoved out so be it.

DS: I can not see your posts normally. When I click on send reply and the page changed, below you can scroll down to read past posts. I moved down to see what someone wrote to reply clearly and saw your thread. In this case I figured you probably responded to me again and clicked 'view post' which is an option because otherwise it just shows a single line you wrote something and that I have you on block. Set me that way, you'll see it. If I'm going to be viewed as an outsider that's fine, but I don't appreciate that being picked on for a report I got from two different chain stores that matched up just because one of them happened to be Gamestop. I think the problem here is that you all just don't agree with me so it's a good way to get some aggression out. I know I'm not in the wrong on the stuff I post when I grab it from good sources, but since I very well can't quote non-online stuff and what not, it's down to a he said, she said argument really and no one wins on those but the majority who agree or disagree with the post.

But you are making a jump that can't be made. You are moving from claiming there is a shortage of New 3DSs (demonstrable) to a claim that the shortage is intentional (non-demonstrable) and from there to the argument that Nintendo is shitting on its customers and blah blah blah. This is what I mean by "bad argument". It has nothing to do with your sources.

And even if it was demonstrable that the shortage was intentional, there's a perfectly reasonable counter-argument that intentional shortages are good for Nintendo's bottom line (and thus its customer base) in the long-term. But you are dismissing that counter-argument as childish fanboyism. This, again, is evidence of a poor ability to engage people in a meaningful dialogue.

Seriously I'm glad for you that you find the New 3DS to be beneficial in this regard. I'm just saying that personally speaking, the one single second it takes for me to position my current 3DS XL into the sweet spot, that isn't bothersome enough for me to spend $199.96 on yet another 3DS to mitigate that. But I can totally understand the benefit of this head tracking feature if you have difficulty keeping the sweet spot synced manually.

Anyway, I understand the New 3DS has a faster processing speed, additional shoulder buttons, a ThinkPad-esque secondary analog stick, and the head tracking feature. IMO this is not enough to make me want it. It will come down to the exclusives, provided there are any of merit. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo plays this one out. I wager from publishers we will see "better with New 3DS" games that also play on the old 3DS albeit with slightly longer loads and a smidgeon slower frame rate. There's no way as a publisher I would create New 3DS only games when there's already a user base of millions for the original 3DS, doing so would be inviting mass potential sales loss.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the 3D tracking (or any of the other features, for that matter) really justify buying the new model. Obviously it's all down to personal preference, opinion and what people feel they want to spend money on. I was just trying to explain that I also didn't have a lot of issues with the 3D on the old models, but I still find the new 3D tracking a real plus. That's my opinion anyways. As I said in one of my older posts though, it's been a far bigger benefit for my wife, who would never use the 3D on the old model, because she had such big problems with it.

The other cool thing is that I no longer have to worry about the circle pad pro, mostly because I've lost it and can't remember for the life of me where I put it

As for exclusive games that will only work on the New 3DS, I agree that there probably won't be that many to justify buying it.

@ Exhuminator.

Good point. New 3DS only games are definitely a concern, and I have to wonder how many developers are on board. We already know that Xenoblade is exclusive to *New*, but will all subsequent titles be New 3DS only or with optional enhancements?

This sort of reminds of the N64 expansion pack days. The majority of Expansion Pack games were for enhancements, while a few others (notably, Majora's Mask) were required.

I personally wasn't going to get one unless I could get a limited edition, sadly I was working when they first went up but was able to snag a MM edition on Friday at Target.com. Even though I like the MH more than MM. I like the improved 3D, personally don't play my current ones in 3D but I also like added amiibo support, I know there is supposed to be an adaptor made for the original and xl but who knows when that will be and seeing what happened with the wii u gamecube adapter I'm glad I got the smash bros bundle

I don't think there will be that many exclusive games to be honest. There wasn't for the DSi, was there?
