I played Ikachan (3DS) before Cave Story, and I thought it was pretty fun. It does lack a sense of direction that Cave Story has, and Cave Story controls a lot better (Maybe "better" isn't the word, but more easily). I thought Ikachan had a more interesting setting and atmosphere though.
I've also not played Kero Blaster, but I probably will, seeing that I had a fun enough time with his previous games.

But why should every game be a 16-bit platformer based on a Disney cartoon?Hobie-wan wrote:So what you're saying is all indie titles need to be Bonkers. Or maybe randomly generated rogue-lites.J T wrote:Never the same thing twice.BogusMeatFactory wrote: I am curious to know what you think should be done in indie titles?

Dunpeal looking back on it I'd have to agree, it's a bit more open so you don't have a really great sense of direction as I think he wants the player to explore more and however you want to word it I'm with you on the control too.
Exhuminator - I noticed that. I'm considering getting it, just not sure if I want it that much and I'd have to see if the PC one likes Win 8 64bit as I'd not want to try and play something like that without real controls as Pink Hour is a bit sketchy with the touch play yet it is cool.

I absolutely hate Yoshi's Story. I just bought it on the Wii VC through the Wii U (curious to see how N64 games looked through that setup on an HDTV, jaggies...) then I quickly regretted it because I remembered how much I hated this game. The looks, the sound and music, the nasty HUD, the food crap, oh man. It's an abysmal downgrade after Yoshi's Island.

I thought that was the general consensus
(I like the game... kinda)

I thought it was pretty well understood it was awful too.
I bought it on mistake as well and it quickly got annoying, and then depressing since you can finish it in like 20 minutes. It was so meant for little kids as almost like a brief moment in platformer training.

It looks like a game I'd enjoy (2D platformer on the N64, right?) but you guys are all scaring me off.

I think it's worth a play. It's short, it's easy to obtain.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I've never played it.Xeogred wrote:I absolutely hate Yoshi's Story. Lot of people really don't like it, but it's not like, unplayable or anything.
