The I <3 Coins Thread.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I used to collect arcade tokens from every arcade I visited. I seriously doubt that any of the tokens were valuable. In fact, most were rather generic. When I was cleaning out my mom's basement recently I found a handful of my old arcade tokens. One was marked "Abingdon, VA" which gave me a nice little nostalgia rush of the road trip I had taken many years ago. I decided to give the handful of tokens I found to my friend Kevin, who operates his own arcade.

I love the satisfying noise they make.
Not going to lie I thought the thread was going to be about something like this.

I have a fairly small coin collection inherited from relatives or foreign money randomly found in the wild. There's nothing super rare or expensive.

I have a nice little modest collection right now, and I do own some uncirculated coins. All of my collection has been found at a cash register. I own:

Washington Silver Quarter - 2 (uncirculated)
Washington Silver Quarter - 2
Mercury Dime - 2
V-Nickel - 1 (this is the oldest coin I own. From 1910)
Jefferson Silver Dime (uncirculated) - 3
Buffalo Nickel - 1
Wheat cents -11

My coin bowl was overflowing so I actually cleaned it out this week so it was a reasonable level for daily pocket use. I ended up pulling out all of the 1981 and older pennies since those are before they went zinc.

I'm a little sad. Now that I bumped my old thread, I see my old coins, that got stolen :(

It happened a year and a half ago.

Some tweaker helped himself. Bastard

My coin collection grows back when I collect coins from circulation. But its not as big as it used to be.

But its still fun to find nice things in your loose change
