The MH4 edition is niiiiiiiiiiice. Very clean looking design on front/back.

edit: just got off the line with nintendo. Barring some unforeseen error, my NNID should transfer soon to the new unit. Thankfully I kept the serial number to my old console.

I don't know if this is ideal (it's not), but I did read one story of a guy who wanted to trade in his 3DS but also wanted to transfer his data, so his local Gamestop agreed that he could transfer his data in store. The only problem was the store didn't realise this required Wifi (they didn't have wifi) and the customer didn't realise it would take over an hour. Fortunately they allowed him to go off site and transfer at a local wifi hotspot and then bring them back into the store.

But you might find a games shop that do have wifi and they might allow you to transfer the data if you ask before you trade in and walk off with the new model. They might do it for you.

That's if you even want to trade in at all... You may wish to just sell it locally or online.

I picked up my black n3DS along with Majora's Mask and MH4U this morning. I am super excited! :)

I also can't wait to see how the head tracking helps with the 3D effect. I might actually use the 3D now!

Word. We'll have to get a MH4 meet going. I'll have my copy on Monday.

The improved 3D is possibly the best thing about it in my opinion. It's just amazing. I mean, it actually works! Going from the old 3DS models to that, there's just no way I could ever go back.

I know right? When I tested it out with the Nintendo Rep, that was the one thing that jumped out at me as being WHOAH! I never saw the 3D to full affect on the regular 3DS, but this was an eye popping experience. I loved it and wouldn't mind having 3D on ALL THE TIME!

Indeed. As much as I did like the 3D on the regular models, it often annoyed the crap out of me and I would find myself flicking it on and off all the time. My wife, on the other hand, could not stand the 3D on the older models, to the point where she simply did not use it at all, period. Since getting the new model, I haven't seen her turn it off once. Neither of us have.

Although I don't have the New 3DS XL, I just can't stand the 3D on the regular 3DS. I just see two very different images simultaneously. No problem with the new one though and I am glad I'm not the only one that is really impressed with this new feature.
