Repairing a game boy that will not power on

Anyone have any experience with Gameboys that do not power on. I recently got one added new batterys and it will not power on. The PO told me that it worked fine when he last touched it.

Try different batteries. WHat type are you using? Alkaline or "heavy duty"? Sometimes heavy duty have odd voltages and wont function in normal applications. Also, see if there is any corrosion on the battery terminals. Sometimes its as simple as running some 70% or 91% IPA (rubbing alcohol) over the connections.
