If you played on MVS/AES and then switched to the Saturn ver. you'll def feel the difference in gameplay with your execution and timing.
The Fernandeath Final battle is such a pain on Saturn due to poor performance

Galaxy Fight's 2D sprites were nowhere near as elaborate as WW7 which is why it was able to run on stock Saturn hardware. The latter would've benefited greatly from the 4 Meg Ram Cart. It did wonders for its spiritual successor Astra Superstars. Then again, that game originally ran on STV arcade board...
Would the 4M cart really have helped out with the slowdown though? The animation seems to be there, and even if there is a lot of missing animation frames, that's really the least of it's problems. It's just flat out unplayable.
Is the slow down a result of the game constantly pulling data from the disc? Or is it just that they didn't know how to program the game in such a way that would be able to handle large sprites and effects on the screen at once? It seems like the biggest points at which it slows down is during Waku Waku mode (the golden power up mode), in certain stages like Arina's stage, and during fights against certain characters like Dandy J and especially Fernandeath.
If it's a problem of not having enough RAM and constantly pulling data from the disc for animations, I could understand, but the animations don't change during Waku Waku mode, your sprite just flashes yellow. It's especially noticeable against Slash, as soon as he goes into WW mode the game slows to a crawl, and as soon as it's over the game goes back to 'normal' (as close to normal as the game is capable of anyway.)
So were there any good naughty games for the Saturn? I've played Steam Hearts and thought it was a fun game, but other than that I don't know of any other good ones.
Argh went to get into some Saturn gaming since its been a while and dang S-video cable not working it seems. Seems like this set i bought a few years ago the wiring is good quality but the strain relief on them was cheaply made. I knew this would eventually be a problem. Hopefully its just needs new cables.
S video cables are at pretty good prices compared to one year ago.

I just noticed madhatter. When i purchased mind it was that period where they werent been apparently made. I think i purchased one on ebay that was custom made for $30 if memory serves me. Just ordered one of them retrobit ones. I knew eventually that would be a problem as the cables are too thick for looks like what is essentially electrical tape for a strain relief.
Just bought the system a week ago and got a bunch of import titles from a user here on the forum. Needless to say this is my new favorite system and I'm stone addicted. Been glued to eBay looking for more worthwhile imports to buy.

How so? I was actually ready to buy that game since the Neo Geo version is too expensive to warrant purchasing.
