We had a lively group posting about Breaking Bad over the years, so maybe some of those folks would be interested in jumping in on this thread as long as this show is worth talking about. Early buzz is very positive, and I have high hopes. I know that spin-off shows rarely work, but I have a lot of faith in Vince Gilligan, Bob Odenkirk, and the veteran crew working on this show...

Expect a good amount of cameos, but Bob is good enough to carry the show on his own.

And expect origin stories.

And Mike. Lots of Mike.

Plus, if you haven't seen the episode of Modern Family with Jonathan Banks, it is terrific. The actor has crazy range and has never disappointed me in any of his performances.

I have actually heard that cameos are largely being avoided for the time being - and maybe for the duration of the show. Better to let it succeed on its own terms than fail in a way that cheapens BB.

I am delighted to start watching this show on a lag behind you all. Currently on season 3 and we're loving it, maybe watching two episodes an evening when we can. Saul is one of my favorite characters.
