Help me remember this sci fi series.
It was probably either the late 90s or early 2000s, but all I remember is the pilot episode they are on a space shuttle and then the world blows up and then somehow they go back in time somehow and have to prevent it.

Re: Help me remember this sci fi series.
Want to know an honestly good sci-fi series no one remembers from the 1980's? Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future. The creator of Babylon 5 worked on this show. It was geared towards kid, but was far more adult. Dealt with intense issues, like brainwashing through propaganda in a nazi-like state, torture, humanity etc.
Was so much fun and so interesting! Sure the acting was a bit cheesy, but there was definitely some good stuff there. Hell, the end of the season had a main character sacrifice themselves. Was awesome!
What stinks about the youtube video is that it isn't running at 60 frames a second. The robots had flashing red lights that you could hit with this gun, very similar to a light gun back in the day and would rack up points. Have the gun pointed at any of the lasers fired, you lose points.

Re: Help me remember this sci fi series.
So I ended up watching the entire first season of Odyssey 5 this weekend, and actually it wasn't too bad. It was pretty cheesy at times but it is a real shame that the series was cancelled after one season, and it ended on such a cliffhanger. Dammit, watching this show brought back so much nostalgia, it was one of those shows I just had on in the background while I played Pokemon or Yugioh on the GBA, cool to finally see what the show was actually about.
PS the special effects in the pilot episode wasn't as mind blowing as I remember it in 2002 but still pretty cool, a very cool premise for a show.
