List: Best 30 Gamecube Games (What do you want on yr shelf)

Where are Pikmin 2 and DK Jungle Beat? Two of the better games, especially Pikmin 2, on the Gamecube and you're all talking about Monkey Ballz, Joe's, Smuggler's, and P.N.'s. Something is definitely amiss here.

In the case of Pikmin, it is because the first game made the list, and mjmjr wanted to limit multiple entries from series.

Yet there sit Lost Kindoms and Lost Kingdoms II on the list so I don't buy that argument at all.

Neither Lost Kingdoms I or II is on the list, whereas Pikmin is?

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat - I think you and one other person mentioned it as top 30. That isn't enough for even honorable mention. It is a niche game that requires a piece of hardware bigger than the actual console. There is a reason bongos can be had for the cost of shipping...no one wants to store something that bulky for 2 games...

Then put Pikmin 2 in honorable mention, when I think list they go together since their are games in the top 30 I'll never own and things in the HM list I absolutely won't get rid of. Also, why Pikmin over Pikmin 2 when the second is generally considered the better of the two games? New Pikmin, new playable character, new 2-player modes, the removal of the 30 day timer and better overall graphics, video, and presentation.

I actually ordered SMB Deluxe this morning and can check soon. In the meantime, maybe someone can look at the various Monkey Shot versions and compare?

Trilogy is cause enough for that. I love Metroid Prime but the very existence of the Trilogy has relegated the GCN games to shelf decoration status.

This is two articles that we have waiting for the presses to give the site some new content. We could tag team and write a few blurbs about the games that made the list. I know Ack, et all did this a little while ago, but how could we title this one other than "Mike's what do you want on yr shelf - Gamecube Edition"?
