I'm preparing to order a physical copy of the Biohazard/RE remake. Do both the Chinese and Japanese games offer the same language options? Obviously in the past, the Chinese release of games like Aquanauts were the only versions to offer the english subtitles, where the JP versions did not.

Also, is the collectors packaged version the "Asia" version, or the JP version? RE HD Collector's Package

Sorry for the slight derail.
Both have full english text and voice acting, the language is determined by what region you have your PS3 set too.

So, let me get this straight. The remake of the remake is high definition? Sorry to single you out here, Ack. This isn't only about you. I just find it odd that we're all talking about the hd remake of a remake. Remember when we all used to say things like, "the best graphics don't matter; great games are timeless" and so on?

A few years from now we'll have the 4K remake of the HD remake of the remake of RE... in 3D.

I feel that Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were both improved when re-released on Wii because of the new control scheme and some other tweaks. So even though I used to own both games for GameCube, neither is on my shelf now. (Some people prefer the GameCube controller, and the change in controls does have an effect on gameplay so it can be argued either way.)

Jungle Beat is different though - I totally agree that it belongs on the list, although can understand why some people would be less excited about the gimmicky (but awesome) Bongo controls.

Nah, no worries. If I were building a GameCube collection, I would get all of the REs regardless of other ports. But since Mjmjr demanded only the best versions of games and included graphical upgrades among that list, it's worth pointing out.

I also think RE2 should be on the list because it is the best RE, period, but that's just me. There are reasons why nobody takes me seriously, and it has nothing to do with my avatar.

The way this conversation is moving, I would actually be in favor of removing either/both Monkey Ball games from the final list given the existence of SMB Deluxe.

Specifically:
http://supermonkeyball.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Monkey_Ball_Deluxe wrote: All of the Party Games from the first two Super Monkey Ball games are here, and they play the same as they did on the GameCube. The only difference in the first Super Monkey Ball Party Games from the GameCube version, is that the monkey and ball textures, graphics and lighting, are ripped from Super Monkey Ball 2 instead.

it's not a remake of a remake though. It's a port of a remake. Right?

This isn't even possible. As has been stated (repeatedly); Monkey Target is THE mini-game and it is completely different in SMB2. So when it says "all the party games are here" - does the PS2 version have TWO version of Monkey Target? If not, then no, this doesn't make SMB1 obsolete.

The poll is 15-3. You can call it spite, conspiracy, or idiocy, but perhaps, just perhaps, some of us really enjoy the first one more and consider it the defining console version of SMB.

I actually ordered SMB Deluxe this morning and can check soon. In the meantime, maybe someone can look at the various Monkey Shot versions and compare?

I still think the vote is BS by people who haven't played both.
