I gave up collecting for the PS1. There is just too much there to try and go for.

I can't help but be fired up for Persona 5.

I'm not a big fan of the black, red, and white color scheme. It's not as juicy as the Persona 4 style. The gameplay graphics are an improvement though, and it looks like the dungeon crawlers are going to be a lot of stealthy dashing, which looks like a cool new gameplay mechanic for the series.

I like that they brought the patterned pants back. Like a call back to old-school pre-P3 MegaTen.

I've barely scratched the surface of the PS1. I own maybe 50 games, almost all of them RPGs.

My PS1 collection is one of my largest collections, and there are still 150+ games on my "want" list. The system's library is just out-of-control.

I think PS2 tops my PS1 in size. But I also foresee that changing eventually (especially if I stop caring about buying "disc only" games; they are cheaper and more likely to be impulse buys for me). I think I already have like 25+ games that are case-less, and well over 100 altogether.

Not a lot on the want list (I do have some), but ever curious.
...Aslo, I predict going a little crazy once (and if) ps-io is released.
...Random ps1 lots and SD cards (Homer drooling sounds)...
(as if I don't already have the option on PSP )

Dammit, I'm such a hypocrite. My last post was about how I tend to prefer portables. Maybe I just like a console dedicated for a specific platform. (it's settled then, one of my PSP's is now a PS1 ).

Snagged the last Intellivision Flashback at Sam's Club today. Both D&D games are on it. Yessssssss!!!

Snagged the last Intellivision Flashback at Sam's Club today. Both D&D games are on it. Yessssssss!!!

How is it? Worth getting over any other emulation? I've been eyeing the Intellivision and Colecovision ones at the Dollar General but I've always backed off.

If you had to get one I'd choose the ColecoVision Flashback. It contains games that you'll never find in cart format (like homebrews). The controls also feel sturdier than the Intelli ones.

The Intelli Flashback seems decent so far, but it's packed with a lot of commons you could find for $1 in cart format. Lots of sports games too. Depending on your love for old WRPGs it could be worth it just for the D&D games.
