Sounds fair to me. Kirby's Air Ride is too good for the unwashed masses anyway.
Given the arguments about RE, I'd swap back to putting RE:0 on the list over the remake. I have no idea how good the HD port is, I heard it did weird visual things and that was about it.

Just so it's said, I found it funny as hell that you got so fired up over Monkey Ball.

The HD remake adds in 1080p, remastered 5.1 surround sound, widescreen ratio, and more analog control options.

But it is stretched, right? That's what I thought I remembered hearing was that it was a rushed HD port and more in line with some of the poorer ones from the past few years than the better ones.

what port are you talking about? The PSN or Steam? Cuz I'm fairly sure they're 2 different entities, and I've heard only praise about the Steam version.

Actually, as far as HD remasters go, it's a very good job in this instance, in my opinion. It isn't rushed at all. And the widescreen option isn't stretched, but it is 'crop and pan'. Surprisingly, it does work very well, but fortunately the original 4:3 ratio is also an option.

I can agree with these two swaps. Assault and Air Ride are serviceable, but Viewtiful Joe and Paper Mario blow both of them out of the water.
RE:0 or RE (remake)?
This one is a little harder. I've always considered these strictly Gamecube games, despite the various ports. As far as I know the HD port of REmake is digital only over here in the states, and no one seems to have really cared for either the Wii ports. However, if I recall correctly, there is a physical version of the HD REmake from Japan that has English subtitles, so that may have more of an impact on people.

Personally, I consider control differences and extra options/additions of higher importance than, say, visuals and sound when comparing different versions of games. But that's just me.

I guess what I'm saying, is that I really wouldn't complain about the inclusion of either RE:0 or REmake over the other. I think both would be acceptable. It really depends on how the new port compares to the original, but since I haven't played the new one, I can't really comment. All I know is that much of what I've heard says it is (perhaps) prettier and sounds better.

Not at all. Others have said in this thread SMB1 is the definitive game. I've started a poll.

And the HD remake of the RE remake features new analog control options apparently.

Don't worry, dsh. Despite our often times differences in gaming and movie preferences, I still like you. Your passionate defense of games in this thread is admirable, even if, in this case, it's directed solely at Monkey Ball.
