Did you sell your old 3DS? You can transfer between two systems otherwise.

I'm currently leaning towards 'frustrating' because I'm going to have to call them to get my NNID transferred to my New 3DS. :\

How hard would it be to design a "Sign in to your Nintendo Network ID" screen?

Have the Nintendo exec's ever used, oh I don't know, an email account???

Wait what? That's no the case at all. You just have to perform a system transfer while you still have access to both systems. If you don't then you're shit out of luck. Usually if you buy your 3DS from a game store as a trade in, they will allow you to transfer in store from your old one and the new one. The stores may as well let you do this as they would need to format the device anyway to sell it pre-owned.

However I didn't even know about the LE game with the figure until tonight. It irks me that Nintendo is making all of these things so limited and that resellers are going nuts! They past couple of years Nintendo haa been hurting for revenue so you'd think they'd be making more of what obviously has been in demand (i.e. every single LE zelda item they've made in years!). They need to get with it and make these awesome items available to more people.

Did you get the email?

I got some hands on time with the New 3DS XL and have some good things and some bad things to say about it.

At work, I was talking to our Nintendo Rep who had the handheld on hand and let me play some Smash Bros. on it. First things first, the C-stick is hard as a rock. It is very rigid, but responsive, which makes it a bit strange at first, but you do get used to it. My problem was that I kept jumping instead of using it to do a smash attack.

What did wow me was the head tracking 3D. Now, just so you know, I have an incredibly hard time seeing 3D in movie theaters and with the 3DS, I have to have the 3D turned down low and the sweet spot in a VERY particular spot to see it while staying motionless.

With the New 3DS XL, I had the 3D cranked all the way up to see how I reacted to it. It worked magically! I saw the 3D perfectly and did not see the weird effects like you do with the regular 3DS. I turned my head, turned the system and at no point in time did I lose the 3D. I didn't get to spend extended time trying it out to see if I had any headaches or eyestrain, but I was astounded as to how well I saw the 3D. Even with the regular 3DS and I had everything in the right spot, I never saw it like that. I would keep the 3D on the entire time with the New 3DS for sure!

Lucky you bumping into a rep who had that. I don't really see anything negative in your comments though. I guess you meant the small size of the c-stick making for a wrong attack instead of a jump? That's nothing, just a comfort issue you work into. The fact the 3D tracks as well as they puffed it up to be is excellent.

I've got to get this thing eventually, just really want it to have actual games for it is all. Did they happen to mention games? I just know of the Ace Combat re-release and Xenoblade.

Yeah essentially, outside of Xenoblade, nothing was really mentioned. To make things clear, the C-stick is super uncomfortable and just not responsive. It is hard as a rock and unmoving, but still responds to your touch. I don't feel the extra buttons on the top next to the L and R buttons are comfy either.

What I do see is an decrease in load times. Smash Bros. loaded up immediately without a single second. If nothing really comes of this as a New system, the head tracking and decreased load times may be beneficial. I bet you that Project S.T.E.A.M. is going to suffer from huge load times on a regular 3DS.

PSA for folks in the UK that got an Ambassador 3DS. If you buy Majora's Mask before the end of February you will get the exclusive Skull Kid statue. This is applicable if you buy MM from anywhere, not just the Nintendo UK store, I would expect that you would have a better chance of getting the Statue if you pre-order from NUK store. In order to qualify you just have to buy the game and register the stars when it comes. If you pre-order via NUK you won't have to register to get the statue it will come with your order.

I can't wait. I have had the special edition on pre-order since it was announced on the NUK store. Got MH4U coming the same day as well :D Fuck valentines day, I know what i'm going to be doing!

I played around with it at GameStop and I 100% agree about the C-stick. It barely budges at all. Not sure of the design choice there. I thought the new 3D tracked better but wasn't perfect. Outside of the normal "safe zone" of the old 3DSXL I still had double vision, just not "Sit up straight dammit!" vision like before.

I do want one of these but am in no real hurry since there'll be 600 limited editions I'll pick from later. Plus on a personal note I don't even know if I've had my Mario/Luigi one for even a year yet.

Well guys I just bought a new 3DS. Not a New 3DS. I bought a new 3DS via 2DS. I guess that's not really a 3DS, but you know what I meant. It's not a New but it is new and it's not a 3DS but it does play 3DS games in 2D and ah forget it
