Which Star Ocean to pick up on PSP?
So I'm leaving for a week long work trip tomorrow and I'm bringing the PSP with me. I've been in the mood for an RPG and have never played any of the Star Ocean games. I hear the first one was kinda weak and the second one which is also a remake is pretty awesome. I'm just looking for opinions on which one to go pick up.

Ive played and beat both and I gotta recommend you go with the second story. The item customization and secret dungeon will keep you busy long after you trip is over, plus I hated the world map on the first cause it was basically one huge dungeon maze. Very tedious. Plus real time battle systems kick ass!

Damn kids and your underappreciation for the world map random battles.

It still uses random battles buddy. After you enter a battle it is a real time system though. Im also 23 by the way......not a kid

Oh, I'm quite aware it uses random battles, as I have both PSP games. But world map random battles are a time honored tradition. What would Final Fantasy VI be without the dinosaur forest?
