Its only an OVA, but it is a bizarre followup to FFV only released on VHS outside of Japan.

I also played through Magic Knight Rayearth on the Super Famicom. It's easy mode as far as JRPGs are concerned, but it was serviceable. I liked the characters and have more interest in trying the Saturn game as a result, despite not having ever watched the anime.the7k wrote: Magic Knight Rayearth was already mentioned on the Saturn, though I actually enjoyed playing the SNES version before I even knew about the anime series.
If you like Diablo, then Record of Lodoss War for Dreamcast may be your speed. I don't like loot grinders, but it felt like a competent one from what I played.

The end credits were the best part. Exploding 8-bit chocobos. I just don't understand.

Great example, since I own that game and had no idea it was an anime.Ack wrote:I'll give a few more thoughts on Super Famicom/Super Nintendo games:
Violinist of Hamlin is a side scrolling platformer for the Super Famicom developed by Daft and published by Enix that is also worth checking out. It's bright, colorful, controls well, and features a fair bit of humor along with its platforming and puzzle solving.
