Welp, nobody else has made it yet, and I've got to scratch an itch of a game I had to drop recently, so here goes. Post about what games you couldn't bring yourself to finish, for any reason. Just like previous years threads.
Shinobi - 3DS
I wanted to like this game so much. It seemed right down my alley with how much I tend to enjoy character action games and the like. I made it three or four missions in before frustration got the better of me though.
My big problem with this game is the platforming. There is a lot of it, and frankly I find the jumping to not be up to par for my tastes. It feels just a little too floaty, just barely too slow, and innacurate. And it doesn't help that the camera feels like it's pulled back a bit too far, makes it harder for me to judge distances and such. Maybe it's my fault since I've never had particularly good eyesight, but I don't usually have this problem with playing other games and I do wear glasses so I think it's safe to blame the game this time.

Re: Games NOT Beaten: 2015
Guess I'll start my monthly posts:
Games not beaten 2015:
January:
Fantasy Life 3DS
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon DS
Grandia PS1
3 games on the list, and I'm still working through them all. Grandia should be finished in the next week, and I hope to have Fire Emblem done within the first half of Feb. I'm playing Fantasy Life for about 20 minutes a day on my train home from work, so I'm guessing that'll still be on the list come March.

I backed off Serious Sam 3 BFE. It got so stupid cheap on the final run up to the last level I got fed up with it as there's more crap going on compared to the needed ammo required to take down specific targets small arms won't work on. I read up the final stage and it sounds like a cheap fury inducing hot mess. Given where I stopped I feel I did my part.

Games No Beaten:
1. Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire(PS3)
Think I'm shelving this game for now sunk around 6 hours into it and it's just kind of gotten bland. There really isn't much to the campaign and the missions are basically 2-10 minutes long scenarios with very little story behind them. While I love the mechs there just isn't any challenge to the game. Really there isn't much strategy other then prioritizing your targets and either circling from a distance or just bum rushing them with the energy sword. The enemy AI is just pathetic and the majority of the time if it's getting hit it just stops reacting and stands there waiting to be blown to bits.

Sonic Unleashed (Wii) -
I actually beat this years ago, but I thought I'd try it again, since I've been interested in digging through my Wii games again.
I can't bring myself to do it. It's not that I hate it; just that the platforming feels weak, compared to Sonic Colors and Generations. And honestly, I don't want to play those darned Werehog stages. The Wii version's Werehog stages are awful.
On another note; started Sonic & The Black Knight at the same time, and I'm actually liking that one. Definitely finishing that one.

This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.

Kingdom Hearts. Just can't be bothered with it. Looks amazing, plays like shit. Frankly, that's how I feel about a lot of Square's output since 2001.

Project X Zone:
I really wanted to like this one but I just can't get into it. A strategy RPG with a huge cast of characters stretching across some of my favorite franchises sounded like it would be right up my alley. Sadly, the story is pretty weak and the combat dull and repetitive. Seriously though the combat takes zero skill. It would be more difficult for me to lose on purpose. It wasn't all bad though. I did find it humorous that Morrigan (from Darkstalkers) hits on just about every male character that joins your group. However Morrigan's shenanigans won't be enough to keep me playing.

I guess I was high on life or being overly optimistic the other night, because after five hours of slogging in it, I've realized Deep Labyrinth does indeed suck rotten goat balls.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Squirreltopia (PC)
I played my way through up until I beat the first boss, now the game needs to stop. It's one of those brutally difficult platformer games. I keep wanting to improve, but then get frustrated, but then improve, then frustrated, frustrated, frustrated... improve, frustrated, frustrated, frustrated.... Basically, I can tell that the game is going to be more trouble than it's worth. Though there is an itch I have to play more to prove myself, I just know it will be more frustration. It's like a bad drug.
The game's difficulty relies on the fact that your character is very slow to accelerate, but you need speed to clear large gaps, but by then your momentum is so fast, that it's difficult to control your character for the precision it requires to land on a tiny platform block when he is careening through the air. It wants you to go fast, then slow, then fast, then slow. It feels like you are in the lurch all the time. It's the kind of challenge game that isn't actually much fun. It's just that when you finally accomplish something you feel better because it's over. It's like shaving a full beard with your bare hands. You can't wait to finish your task, but really you should ask yourself why you have chosen to do this task in the first place. I can see that foolishness in advance, so this game is going in the NOT beaten pile.

Astebreed and Excitetruck. One for being boring the other for being boring and having shit motion controls. Double jeopardy!
