I think I've still got a Live account on my machine? So I guess I can still play my copy.

Not sure if you are being serious or not but... Xbox Live for the oXbox has been discontinued for years. So no you won't be playing that copy of PSO.

The problem, as I understand it, is that you can't sign up for a old-style Live account, but if you already have a Live account stored locally on the system that you signed up with, you can still play offline. I did sign into the old servers and played offline, so unless that data has somehow been wiped, I should still be able to play without connecting online.

Now I'm going to check and see if it still works when I get home this evening.

It would be interesting to know if the mere presence of an offline account is enough to let you log into the game for single player.

Unfortunately in my case the servers were already offline and I couldn't create an Xbox account for this purpose.

PSO I & II does NOT deserve a place on this list.

Let's get some votes against it, folks. Both games are far better on Xbox (graphics) or PC (connectivity) today. No reason to play it on GCN with the shit controller.

The Xbox version is only useful as a coaster since it can't even be played offline.

Skies of Arcadia Legends - This is the best version of a classic JRPG that consistently makes "best games of all time" lists. It would be a crime not to include it.

Again, you raise a good point. I think there should soon be enough support to keep PSO off this list, there are far more deserving titles.

I was hesitant to put PSO on the list, as I do prefer the PC title, but the gamecube version does still support the private servers and I do feel it deserves a spot here. Phantasy Star Online Ep 3 does most definitely though.

That is actually a pretty good price. Gamestop sells its coasters for almost $20.
