Ahh yeah F-117A, I've played that some back in the day on PC too, NES version sucked.

That's not a bad score at all for Steel Wheel. I think I remember reading that too about the MOD player because as good as the GBA audio can be, it's still unique like they fired up the real original music and didn't recompose it. MOD playing when done right doesn't have much overhead and that's good seeing that the GBA runs everything over that ARM so some games that go too far visually have to sacrifice with lower quality audio.

I've never had the Epic Pinball CD, just the individual packages as they popped up with the cyborg girl, card games, animals, spiders, and the other fluff.

I've attempted the pac-man and mario pinball games and they were awful. Eventually I'll probably get back the Pinball of the Dead and Sonic when I want them but they never really felt right because they're more like Kirby's Pinball or the Pokemon one where sure it's pinball but it's really an adventure and I don't want that.

I feel like Hobie and I need to step in here and reassert as the RB lords of classic pinball and pinball game collecting.

I'm impressed with what I saw on Pinball Advance. A non-overhead perspective pinball on the GBA? Count me in. It was also developed by Rebellion, who now own the rights to the DICE pinball games. Looks like that's my next import quest for the Retron 5.

There ya go I didn't know that last part. Maybe that explains the quality that went into it if those developers are now who own the DICE goodies. It's all in good hands.

Anybody have copies of Snake Rattle 'N' Roll or The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for NES they can test out in their Retrons? I have copies of both with perfectly clean shiny contacts, and I get an "ERROR: failed to dump ROM" with each of them. My NES is buried in my basement, so I can't test them on original hardware. Wondering if my carts are busted, or if the Retron has issues with these two games for some reason.

I've got Snake Rattle & Roll. I'll give it a good cleaning and report back on that.

My R5 is a bastard with certain games. It's a finicky machine. I don't think I've ever gotten Axelay or Super R-Type to boot.

Ys IV worked, but I had to eject and reinsert the game every time I played. It was odd.

As long as Phalanx works, that's all that matters.
