If you are like me, you will be intrigued to find out that Apple has made more this last quarter than any company in the history of the world, how much? They made roughly 74.5 billion dollars in 3 months....3 months!!! That is like making 700 million per day!

Well, I hope you all have a good day! lol

Agree, Apple is more of fashion than a product anymore. Don't get me wrong, they are innovative, but no different from Android, unless you enjoy paying for everything.

Once you stop drinking Starbucks, eating McDonald's, ordering from Amazon, bidding on eBay, buying brand-name gadgets, buying foreign products etc etc etc you'll find that people will find some work to do again. Instead what little we have is being pumped into fewer and fewer mega-corporations. Money-printing aka quantitative easing isn't helping either.. Boy what a mess.
And that's why you should play video games, folks. Because only with video games will you not be giving money to evil mega corporations.
 Make them indie games while we're at it.
Robot Loves Kitty is an indie developer that lives off the grid in a tree house.

I recently have taken attention to the "Micro homes" of the world, it is a newer home movement that enables people to live off the grid and sustain themselves and their house without the need of electricity, running water, or sewage.

A pretty interesting idea for the future.
The microhouse movement is an unsustainable belief. Because most counties will not let you count a property as your residence without a semi permanent structure, and since microhouses are not built to code, they cannot be considered. I am all for reducing foot prints of houses and drafted up several plans for container houses that were shot down by local zoning committee and I live in middle of no where Tennessee (the best of these was domes and had buried containers as hallways between the domes). You can usually get around this by having a one room "utility" house that is the residence (many counties require a 10ft by 10ft building which would cost you about 20k to build to code), then having other off the grid houses on the property.

Now when you get into homesteading thats when it gets interesting.

There's also the Internet of Things (yech) which enables more and more people to trade goods and services without the omnipresent middle-man. If anything these are interesting times we're living in.

Yes, But people are still making it happen. I have heard building restrictions are the hardest thing to get by, some people put them on wheels to get by this. I would love to buy a bunch of property somewhere and make a mico community and use it as a test community to see how it operates. What if you are outside city limits, do you think the restrictions are the same there?

Yes, because you're still under county and state regulations. It depends on where you live, but in some cases there are statutes concerning a limit to the number of structures allowed on a property of a particular size.

Not saying it's not an interesting idea. Just saying you may need to dig a bit deeper if you want to avoid all legal issues.

Yea I completely understand, I heard something about the house has to be larger than 600sqft in order for it to be considered a home. I will have to just look into the process a little more.

Seems like a lot of this stuff is done just for the sake of it with no real tangible benefit...
