But do you want any PRICEY games?

My KoF collection just got one step closer with my 00 received today from Mr Mike. I'm only missing 94, 98, and 01 so far. I have I think 3 of 5 (well, 6) SamSho's and my buddy has another one. Only 2 MSs, gotta expand that one.

Metal Slug is probably the biggest one that I'm pushing to complete soon at a reasonable price. I'd love to get Nightmare in the Dark for an okay price but I know that's a pipe dream.

Oh yeah, I'd love to have Nightmare in the Dark. Really want Halloween games for Halloween parties. Ghost n Goblins and Night Slashers also wanted for non-Neo Geo games.

I mean I have a 161 and it's got NitD playing just fine, but there's something about having the real thing.

NitD is boss.

Metal Slug 5 MVS cart is a tough one. They fly when they come up. Probably need to up the price on that one...

So about a month or so ago had a friend who wanted to get a neo Geo. Suggested a ps2. Asked him at work how he was doing on getting neo Geo. Never got into it but I did.
So as of now even though its not a neo Geo system, I have gotten these titles.
Metal slug anthology
Kof 2006
Kof xi
Neo Geo battle coliseum
On the lookout for more snk games. Will get them all within 6-8 months since there cheap as hell on the ps2

Welp. I haven't taken delivery yet due to needing to scoot off to work, but I won a 4 slotter at auction today. Like a real, in-person auction. All 4 slots appear to work, came with Puzzle Bobble, World Heroes 2, Samurai Showdown 3, and Blazing Star. Puzzle Bobble's a boot, but the rest are legit and all 4 have Mini Marquees.

P1 D-button and P2 B-button aren't working, but I'm assuming it's just a wiring issue, especially given that when I swung the control panel open I definitely felt current running in CP when I touched the metal part of it.

Overall good, not great, shape. There's a chip about the size of half a quarter on the lower-right corner of the CP, and the lexan covering it has a weird pattern on the left side (almost like something hot was put on it), but the sides are nice and the monitor's in good shape.

I'm very, very excited about all this. Even though it means that by the time I get off of work today I'll have been up 24 hours (25 actually)

Nicely done, KalessinDB.

I remember my brother buying a Gauntlet arcade cab from an auction back in the 90s. Back then it was like $150.

How'd you spot the boot right away?

Aw yeah, there'll be some pics when I get it home, either Sunday afternoon or some time Monday.

And I spotted the boot because I was bored and decided to open them all up to see if they were legit :)

Edit: Seeing on http://hardmvs.com/html/MV-4F.htm that my particular brand of motherboard is supposed to be socketed... this makes it SO much easier to install a UniBIOS, I am pleased.

Edit #2: Home and running. Played with it for about 20 minutes, but I'm exhausted (4 hours of sleep in last 32ish, plus I'm running a cold) so I just took Nyquil and am ready to pass out. EL is busted on the mini-marquee, but I expected that. Couple buttons are... not great. I knew 2 seemed to be gone based on playtesting it, but I fired it into the self-test and 2 more were only registering about half the time. Going to try replacing with some basically-new cherry microswitches I purchase long ago for a mame box I never completed and see if that fixes it, if not I'll have to attack the wiring. Sound is working!! A little low, but working. And slot 1 seems to need to be seated juuuuust right, but I did in fact unseat and reseat all 4 carts and once again proved all 4 slots do work.

Now to pass out until I wake up and then spend basically all day tomorrow tinkering with it (promise you guys pics tomorrow) because no work tomorrow.
