The guy is short and to the point... but damn does he dream up some cool sounding shit! John's accounts are a series of dreams though, or God speaking to him. Mathew's accounts are witnessed first hand.

I think you are conflating the Gospel of John with the books 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. Those three are the ones that talk about AntiChrists and stuff. The Gospel of John is actually held by a lot of modern Christians as the gospel most likely to have actually been written by an eye-witness.

Yeah, I was a bit tired... I referred to both the gospel and the books. Both called John... John is the gospel, John 1, John 2, John 3 are the books. Sorry.

Oh and even IF the guy never existed the mere idea of him is more legendary then you ever will be. It isn't like any of the bad things religion has done was at the fault of Jesus. It was around BEFORE jesus.

There's a thread on the somethingawful forums about images of Jesus. There are some truly amazing images including one of "buff comic Jesus" busting up a cross and using the fragments to beat down some Roman guards. I believe the Jesus stealing the dude's hit is in there as well as the raptor Jesus.
