Who eats mayo anyways? Or ranch, for that matter? Blegh.

Most Americans, that was easy. Ranch is the usually in the top five most used condiments. Mayo is number one now in most studies, slightly over Ketchup.

I find both too sweet on their own - but both are used almost daily as they provide a great base for other dipping combinations.

I am with you, I despise both, and am not sure which I dislike more.

:D - I learned how to play Myage by Descendents on bass (source). Sometimes it just happens where I'll be walking around with a song in my head, and all of a sudden I see the structure of the bassline in the fretboard of my mind. Weird, I know but awesome. Descendents are one of my all time favorite bands, and AFAIC Karl Alvarez is one of the 3 best bassists in all of punk music. It's perfect music for Springtime type weather, and up here in Montana this week we've been catching a much needed break from winter. (I think the Nor'easter has had an impact on our weather patterns.)

 - OMG, the parking lot at my kids school. The "parent lot" at my kids school is a dirt parking lot, and as I mentioned we've had a sudden bout of warmer weather. This means that the piles (and piles) of plowed snow at the edges of the parking lot have suddenly melted and turned everything into a horrid bog. Kids are tromping around in mud up to their ankles whilst being picked up, cars are getting stuck (including the bookmobile yesterday), and it's just a huge goat rodeo. I dunno, I guess it's sort of an amusing dilemma, but it still sucks.

It might just be a thing where I live, I do know people who use ranch, but I don't know anybody who uses mayo. I personally don't use condiments that much, but if I do its hot sauce or something along those lines. I don't get it.

:( With the new semester and everything going I felt good going in, but now that I've gotten into my rut I feel a dilemma- I don't have anybody to hang out with. I have one friend I see on campus one or two times a week, but other than that I got nada. Its probably mostly my fault for not trying to make friends, but the idea is foreign to me, seeing as I didn't make friends in school, it just kinda happened. We sat together, they talked to me, I responded, then at some point someone else decided we were friends and that was that. Thing is, nobody really talks to me out of the blue here. Nobody thinks its odd to just randomly jump into a conversation, give a compliment, or ask a question, but then again it doesn't make it easy to make it apparent that you want to be friends or whatever. And it seems like I missed out at some point, because everybody already seems to have their groups and people they hang with, and its always hard to break into a new group.

And the girls up here. Man. So many good looking ones, nice ones, smart ones. It'd be great if I could actually, y'know, talk to them. Or not have competition with half of the other people around.

The undisputed king of condiments is mustard.

My brother just brought this back from Paris for me:

Me.

Three letters: BLT

It's not complete without Hellman's mayonnaise.

Mayonnaise reminds me of tomatoes. So many people say "I hate 'insert vegetable/condiment!" yet they eat tons of it on the regs.

"I hate tomatoes" says the person scarfing a pizza.

"I hate mayo" says the person drenched in shrimp sauce.

"I hate onions" says the person who is on their third bowl of chili.

"I hate anchovies" says the person who has never eaten anchovies.

You have all eaten things you say you hate, but have loved it (no sex jokes please). This actually gets a slight rise out of me.

Don't let some shitty dish turn you off from ONE SINGLE INGREDIENT. Not saying you have to eat a raw carrot if you don't like raw carrots, but don't let that get in your way of trying a carrot soup, carrot cake, or carrot souffle.
