Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

+1 P.N.03
Also - never played the Hulk game. Never even heard of it...? So already with the number of positive comments it's one i'm looking for.
I'm with fox - I prefer the GCN pad to the PS2 / 360 Pad. I prefer the Wavebird to almost any pad ever.
Also - Monkey Ball 1 had the better Monkey Target which is the best of the mini games. In Monkey Ball 2 they made too much stuff and ruined Monkey Target. The main game is probably slightly better, but I still would keep MB1 before MB2.

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure how this was all going down. Thanks for the info.Blu wrote:Ack, it's more or less an organized form of chaos. You don't have to submit 30 if you don't want to. I think it's a culmination of a list of titles you love and want to keep around and seeing how many other +1's come in from other forum members. I think Mike's criteria help us get started, then the discussion drives it. We got a pretty well-rounded list of about 20 that most people agreed on, then the last 10 were a crapshoot of fierce debate -- Muramasa and Sonic Colors being the most hotly contested, and Dave's unwavering support for Milestone Shooting Collection.
I'm not a big fan of the Gamecube's controller, but I admit that I have had some fun times with it. I also have a few suggestions to consider:
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody Someone else mentioned A Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life already, so I figured I would point out Magical Melody. I preferred its presentation to A Wonderful Life. The GC version also allows choice of gender for the protagonist, with different marriage results, though particularly surprising is that there is an androgynous character that both the male and female protagonist can marry. So...potential gay marriage in a Harvest Moon game.
Mega Man Collection - The Gamecube lacks the remixed audio of the PS2 version but included a better exclusive extra. While the Xbox version included all of the extras of both the GC and PS2 versions, it also suffered from a screen glitch that the GC version does not have.
Mega Man X Collection - The GC and PS2 versions offer the same features, but reviewers gave the GC version slightly higher scores, so take that how you will.
Odama - Certainly one of the most unique games on the GC, it's a real-time tactics pinball game. Yes, it's hard. It's also incredibly creative.
Pac-Man Vs. - Yes, it was bonus content. It's still the coolest thing to happen with Pac-Man since the release of Ms. Pac-Man.
Resident Evil 2 - This is the best looking version of the game there is.
Resident Evil 3 - This is the best looking(and tied for best sounding) port of the game.

If you're talking about The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, keep in mind this was a multiplatform release, it's available on PS2 and Xbox as well. The Xbox version is supposed to be the best one graphically, hence its the version I own.mjmjr25 wrote:Also - never played the Hulk game. Never even heard of it...? PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: List: Best 30 Gamecube Games (What do you want on yr she
As of this post I have 60 GC games over the course of the past 3 years I've been collecting for it. Here are my highlights.
Beach Spikers: Virtua Beach Volleyball - Still a GC exclusive. Has that pick up and play quality.
Bloody Roar: Primal Fury - Might be an unpopular choice given all the other fighting games out there, but I'm a fan of the series.
Chaos Field - If it weren't for our faithful shmup fans, I would have never played this.
Dead to Rights - This one is available for other consoles but I just completed it and it felt like one big Hong Kong style action movie.
F-Zero GX - Can't do much better than this outside of Mario Kart Double Dash.
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy - Currently playing it and loving every minute of it. The GC port also has more exclusive features.
Gun - Again found on other consoles, but like DTR, played out like a good movie.
Ikaruga - There's already been lots said about this.
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour - Not only is it good but connectivity with MG Advance Tour is a big plus.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! - Enough said.
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Super Monkey Ball - I'm going to group both of these together, they make you think twice about how good launch titles can be.

+1 Wario World
+1 Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction - Hook up your stereo for this game, and crank up the bass.
+1 Viewtiful Joe
+1 Ikaruga
+1 Four Swords Adventure
+1 Soul Calibur II - This is my favorite entry in the series, and it plays so well on the GCN controller.
+1 Pac-man Vs. - What a great party game!
-1 Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader - Sorry guys, I just can't enjoy this game. Everything looks the same, and I can't seem to find my target objectives in the paltry time limit. I basically just get lost when I play Rogue Squadron II - which would be okay if I wasn't on a timer. Maybe this was one of the best launch titles for GCN, but there more than thirty superior games available now.
I would like to politely suggest Sonic Gems Collection. This is, in my humble opinion, the best version of Sonic CD, the best version of Sonic Triple Trouble, the best version of Sonic R, and the only way to play Sonic The Fighters (outside of the arcade). There are also a slew of Sonic GameGear titles and two unlockable Vectorman games.

YES! Seriously the best volleyball game. I have no idea why Sega has not ported it or made sequels elsewhere.ExedExes wrote: Beach Spikers: Virtua Beach Volleyball - Still a GC exclusive. Has that pick up and play quality.

Sorry but this is not a good recommendation. The developers swapped the A and B function and did not provide a way to re-map the controls. This is the single worst version of the Mega Man Collection that was produced and is borderline unplayable.Ack wrote:

Then you should go with the lesser PS2 version, since the Xbox version is glitchy.Flake wrote:Sorry but this is not a good recommendation. I'm going to throw one out here that no one has mentioned. It's JPN only; however, it is a gem of a game. I doubt it will make the list but I'll be glad that more people will know about it.
Kururin Squash! - A fairly unique and fun puzzle game that is exclusive to the Gamecube.

CGR did a video on it as well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrNPTC-Mx8A
There's also a GBA version.
I'd argue for it because it's a Gamecube exclusive, it holds up extremely well, and it's actually fun!
