I don't agree with their agenda, I don't agree with their 'journalists'. If they can choose to ignore facts and twist logic then I can choose to ignore them if I so wish. I am completely tired of this whole topic, absolutely sick to death of the feminist crusade. It seems to have come from nowhere and I don't like the way that male gamers are being portrayed in the media. Sadly a vocal view are tarring a lot of people with the shitty brush of misogyny and I'm just tired of it. I'm not a misogynist.

I get sick of the idea that there's a "feminist crusade" to make male gamers look like misogynists being waged by the major game journalism outlets. It's baseless. Reporting on considerations of race, class, and gender issues in and around games is reflective of a demonstrably maturing and diversifying game-playing demographic, and it is long overdue.

I know people who dress like Bayonetta (and have done before the game came out) never seen out of form fitting dresses and stilettos with bombastic hair-dos. Would you say they are part of the problem and they should moderate their dress? No because women have a right to wear whatever the fuck they want. To write the entire thing off as sexist because the director said a few controversial things to publicise the game discredits Mari Shimazaki's work.

First I didn't say her character is sexist but that saying a woman was part of her character creation dismisses any critical thinking on the Bayonetta character is not accurate.

Also your friends don't have men dressing them up do they? Telling them what they want them to wear because that would be their ideal woman? Oh and don't forget to put on glasses, that's my fetish.

Everyone fans the flames practically every other day of the week. It's not surprise it's still going.

If we should blame anything on gaming news outlets, I think we should blame them for fanning the flames of the gamers gate crowd. Every time it comes up, it just creates more publicity. Occasionally, they report something important, like specific cases of threats or the like that are above and beyond. The rest of the time it just seems like crap to drum up more views.

I could maybe take her plight seriously if she had some grounds to her tirade against video games. People are pissed off at her, not because she's a woman, not because she's a feminist but because the utter shite she vomits out of her mouth hole is 100% based in utter fiction. Her total disregard for academic process is what is holding a reasoned discourse from happening. Not because 'gamers are sexist'. I'm honestly not surprised that people are pissed off. She is simply unlikeable and self righteous. Maybe people would give credence if she didn't just pass off her (ill informed) opinion as fact. She is worse than Jack Tretton.

I don't see what's fictional about pointing out obvious tropes in games. I also don't see what's fictional about thinking that any media will both reflect and shape the world around it. Please, list for us her sins of non-factitude and her great academic transgressions.
