If I made a thread that was like the Games Beaten thread, only for multiple hobbies beyond video games, would any one care to participate in it?
What like a "what did you accomplish" thing? Personal projects?
"Wrote a new song today"
"Finished a new mod today."
things like that?
Yeah, something like that. I was thinking, people could do it however they want. But for me, I was thinking of breaking my accomplishments up into specific hobbies and choosing a magic number as a goal for the year. Like, I want to read x amount of books, beat x amount of games, etc.

We do have an annual goals thread about gaming/collecting and we do log/talk about book goals in the Books! thread...and to a lesser extent the movies thread. Something non-media related would be cool, I think.

I used to do this with video games, movies, and books every year, where I would track how much I had beaten, watched, and read. For a while, I had a goal to watch at least 50 films a year and to try to break 100. But I started to notice that I was avoiding longer works as a result, and burn out set in after a while.
Just be wary of whatever you are doing and try not to get so focused on putting up numbers that you stop appreciating variety.
Wow...I think I see why most guys(at least ones I know) hate shopping for clothes. I keep looking for stuff to replace my old clothes(and mature my closet) but I have no idea what the heck I'm doing
