Just curious, couldn't we condense the SMG games and the Wii Sports games into a series, thereby opening 2 more slots for potential games on the cusp?

Edit: Somehow I glazed over Dave's response to my opinion about the Vita port of Muramasa. I wasn't trying to make a further argument for it, just interjecting my opinion.

Although, if I could get a Vita for a decent price, it may be a different story. Basically, I'm just a cheap bastard.

I am too, but I promise you the Vita experience is worth every penny. The OLED version at least.

Through 13 pages...(I think the last 7 pages were all Sonic Colors)

For Muramasa - mjmjr25, foxhound1022, irixith, ejamer, omerta, bonesnap, *michi, prfl gmr, *cffjr. I count 7 for sure yes and 2 tacit yes votes.

For Dead Space - ejamer, blu, k.vlaros. Only 3 yes votes and some side discussion. I think based on that, yes, it can be removed.

Great game with a brilliant gimmick with a very strong ICO feel, really surprised to see this one still going for $10 now, who knows how long that will last. I'd highly recommend picking this one up while it is still cheap

We got about the same math on these, but Omerta was after my post was started so I didn't count him and I counted prfsnl_gmr as an * vote b/c he alluded to deferring to a better TV experience.

So it is a 6-4-3(?) (Yes-No-Indifferent) vote for Muramasa? Are you tallying no votes against stuff? I'd be curious about the math if you did. How many SUM positive votes are needed (roughly) for inclusion at this point?

Although I think the Vita version is superior, I personally feel Muramasa is valid considering the Wii was its originating platform.

Is this going to be an actual article on the main site?

I'm pretty sure this whole thing is just for Mike's amusement.

And if by some chance that either of those platforms has a technically superior version of whatever the flavor of the day was, it won't be often that they'll be recommended over the more popular ports on Nintendo/Sega/Sony/PC hardware.

I'd also like to take the minority position that Sonic games are mediocre at best. The only reason they exist in my house is that my kids enjoy them.

Yes, I've played Colors. It's above average for a Sonic game, thereby making it nothing special in comparison to the vast majority of other games and doesn't even belong on the honorable mentions list.

Ah so we're just monkeys in his twisted little show. That's okay I guess.

I don't think you're aware that every time someone dismisses Sonic Colors, a kitten dies. You people are committing juvenile feline genocide. Just now? A little tabby just gasped its last breath. That's something you're going to have to live with from this day forward.

Not amusement at all - thought at times, it has been amusing and I always am a big fan of Irixith's commentary.

There is truth that this is an excercise that I will take advantage of - I wanted to know which Wii games I missed out on or overlooked...and this has been super fruitfall.

I've bought a few titles I knew nothing about; and rebought games I'd gotten rid of based on poor first impression.

In the past week i've gotten in Ghost Squad (never heard of), Excitebots (heard of, I think, but I thought it was people mispronouncing ExciteTruck), and Sonic Colors (rebuy).

I plan to get RE 4, Endless Ocean (both), Pandora's Tower (rebuy), and Trauma Team (never heard of).

I'm hopeful others benefitted too and while not a perfect list - I think it's a pretty good / searchable reference for others.
