HDD build

Post by MrLovepole »

My first post so if in wrong area please advise me where or move to correct location ......

I've just got a Dreamcast with HDD MOD/BIOS -

Looking for someone to build me a whopping great hard drive with all the current DC & Neo Geo games (& others if possible) - it's a UK build

If you can help or can recommend someone reputable that can, please get in touch ......

Thanks in advance

HDD mod eh? I was familiar with Deunan's SD mod and Mnemo's USB mod (as well as the outdated SD card reader via the serial port) but haven't run into anyone yet with an HDD mod. I know DC-Swat.ru was working on one, didn't realize it had been completed.

Any good? What's the menu system like? Where did you get it done?

(Also: You're unlikely to publicly get people to hook you up with ISOs here, we're at least nominally anti-piracy)
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

It's been built with the drive on the underneath with the multi pin plug in - also has the VGA mod but the menu screens fairly user friendly (actually awaiting delivery)

I'm now looking at investing in a decent HDD (4TB prob) & then just want to pack it with games ......

Just re reading - I'd just assumed that it wasn't an old idea (Dreamcast being so old now) I hadn't realised that it hadn't been done before .......

That's quite cool though

So, where did you get it? If you don't mind sharing, I think people would be interested in this new development.

EDIT: Also, just a tip, you can go back as long as nobody has posted after you and edit your original post rather than posting multiple times in a row. I know it isn't a big deal, but folks here seem to prefer that you take that course of action to keep things neat.

Let me check that he's ok with me posting - like said before unjust assumed this was old news .....

Oh, & thanks for the heads up about reposting

I did try & edit previous post but in on my phone & wasn't able to do so ......

Just found the edit

I had a profile on here previously but this is a new one tied to a seperate email - haven't been on for a while, but thought this would be the place to ask ......

No problem though as I've been chatting to a couple of people -

Apologies if inappropriate

:)

Not inappropriate. I just think people are skeptical, if this is a real development that is certainly cool though. I'd appreciate an update. :D
