Generally, I don't play a lot of games that have online multiplayer as an option, but the ones that I do have, I just don't find it all that fun. Yeah, you get the unknown people who will bother me for the entire time, especially the little kids who want me to give them better weapons that what I actually have, so yeah.

I filled out this survey.

To be honest, all my multi-player gaming is done locally, not online. I think that's an important bit of information not covered in your questionnaire.

I agree. I too filled out the survey but was at a loss to its lack of local MP consideration.

I don't spend too much time on the online portion of games, so I would have to say no I am not. I do get on every now and then.

Filled out the survey. Not a multiplayer gamer at all, unless you count local couch/hot-seat style multiplayer, but I think every gamer does that at some point.

Online holds no interest due to cheaters, complainers, people who quit before you can record a win, microtransactions, the general level of intelligence (based on the drivel that comes over the headset), age gaps, people only wanting to play one map, people wanting to play with all sorts of special rules/modifiers and all around general poor sportsmanship.

Just a thought: it might be interesting to explore whether subscription fees for online play are a deterrent to some gamers. I really enjoyed Mass Effect 3 multiplayer (and an occasional round of long-distance Puzzle Bobble), but I didn't feel that my semi-frequent indulgence was enough to justify a renewal of my XBox Live Gold membership after it wore off. So, I let it go.

I don't remember what the membership cost, and although I'm sure it was perfectly reasonable, it just became another thing I didn't want to spend money on or hassle with. I'm not sure what the situation is like on the XBox One/PS4 tier, though. Our most recent console is a 360.

@Soulhacker, @Irixith thanks a lot for your feedback, that exactly what I was thinking. Just play with unknown people is not that fun.

@Samsonlonghair, @Exhuminator yeah good point indeed. I will add that option in the second batch of the poll I will release soon. Much appreciated!

@outlaw_moon, thanks for filling in!
