Yeah, I think your idea was profound. I wonder what else is out there that we're not too sure about. That website only had Sonic Team stuff, so I wonder if there's any other online enabled games that had some DLC on disc or available via servers.
I think I read somewhere that Street Fighter Alpha 3 had some DLC.

It would be cool to get a total list going, and maybe a DreamExplorer ISO with all the relevant save files on disc (if it's not on there already).

I've got SFA3 and don't remember seeing any sort of DLC there. Tons of other stuff to do though.

I'm sure DreamExplorer has lots of complete SFA3 saves; they're grouped into 4-5 sections from different areas of the internet and all have different contributors, and again, saves for all regions.

Not really sure what it is on Alpha 3 or how salvage-able it may be. This is on the last page of the manual for the US version of the game.
SFA3 INTERNET INSTRUCTIONS
Once you have created a character in World Tour mode (page 10), you can go to the Internet to download a series of Master characters to compete against your character. To download Master characters, follow these instructions.
1. First, save your World Tour Mode character to your Visual Memory Unit (VMU).
2. Exit to the Game Mode Menu and select ENTRY MODE. Select your saved character, load in your saved character data from the VMU and then exit back to the Game Mode Menu.
3. Select NETWORK MODE. There are two options. Saikyo Dojo and the SFA3 site. Select the STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 3 site, exit out of the Memory Card Utility screen and click CONNECT TO THE INTERNET.
4. To download the Master Character file, click the character face icon (these will vary as characters change every week). Choose YES to download the file and then select the VMU where you want to save the data.

Before you can compete against the Masters, you must first register your character in the Saikyo Dojo and defeat three students. To do that, use the L Trigger to display the menu and select EXIT TO GAME. At the Game Mode Menu, choose NETWORK MODE and select SAIKYO DOJO. Select JOIN and add your World Tour Character.

Now you are ready to fight against the Masters. Select GR MATCH and load your data. Good luck!

Not sure whether or not this has been posted previously.

Didn't particularly want to create a new thread for it so I'll just put it here,

I've neglected this console for far too long. Just purchased Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 (sealed!) and Langrisser Millennium. Pretty stoked.

(Sorry for the double post, I just couldn't deny the novelty of posting on from the DC)

After days of working on it, several computers, plenty of hardware swapping and tons of headaches - I managed to get my Dreamcast online!

Anyone still playing PSO? I think i've already got Winroute set up for Sylverant.

It seems incredibly hardware dependent. I had to try several modems before I found one that worked.

I don't know if you ever tried it with a Windows 98 machine - but I will say that despite all of the operating systems shortcomings. It's an absolute breeze to set it up in 98. I tried the VM-Linux route as well as setting it up on XP, but 98 is far and away the best option (obviously, since it was the only one I could get to work!)

The general rule seems to be - the older the software and hardware you're using, the better chance of success you have.

The computer i've got it set up with has a giant ISA modem in it. And I managed to get one of my PCI modems to dial once (I think the DC modem I was using at the time needed a line voltage inducer despite being a model A).

If you're not like me with a lot of modems laying around (I seriously don't know how I came into this many) Most of the guides and discussions i've seen claim that any serial modem should work.

I know you dumped your BBA, and you've got a lot of PC parts laying around. If you're interested in giving it another go, i'd be more than happy to try and help you get one running.
