Re: Too early to start talking about rare/valuable Wii games
There was a time where I had about 230 Wii games. I have given away / sold quite a few since then. I'm down to about 110 now. The one game I never could find a good deal on was The Grudge which girlracer actually has, so good on her.

I picked up Big Buck Hunter Pro recently. I was pretty proud of that find until I looked through girlracer's post

Those pictures of a shelf full of wii games just made me confused and angry about the organization of the games, or the lack thereof.
Why no alphabetical order? Is there another system in play here (I noticed series were grouped together)?

PM me any Wii games you're still looking for, or any games you're seeking for other systems. Maybe we can work something out?girlracer wrote:I've got an extra copy if you have any fun trades for itExhuminator wrote:There was a time where I had about 230 Wii games. You should "test" the games right away by playing them. Why wait until they are hard to find and risk finding out your copy is defective.Spidrmnky wrote:I do have a good bit of sealed games. If I find them on Clearance I get them and don't open them until I'm going to play them. Was just curious as I do tend to try and shop clearance sales whenever possible and figured others did the same. Going to miss Kmarts game section

I like my chances and don't see it as a significant enough risk. I realize it happens, but it's extremely rare and a risk I'm willing to live with.CRTGAMER wrote:You should "test" the games right away by playing them. Just because a game boots doesn't mean it's free and clear of defects. There could be erroneous manufacturer produced corrupted sectors written to the disc that won't manifest until you play hours into the game.CRTGAMER wrote:You should "test" the games right away by playing them. True, but at least running will confirm if the game works or not or if there is even a disc (or wrong disc) and manual inside the sealed case. Sometimes a sealed game is really just a reseal sold as new by a dishonest seller. Game discs inside the cases accidently switched with wrong titles and or Greatest Hits versus regular editions. Only way to know is to break that seal and run the game.Exhuminator wrote:Just because a game boots doesn't mean it's free and clear of defects. Chances are if the game boots then the disc itself is fine unless there are scratches on the disc. Certainly better then not testing at all and waiting until the game will be hard to find or very expensive later on. For the PS2 and original Xbox, I do full direct installs of the discs to the hard drive which confirms every sector for any errors.

Re: Too early to start talking about rare/valuable Wii games
I know we are discussing which ones are rare, but what would people say are the top 5 rarest based off the info we currently know. I'm not talking about most valuable or sought after but rather which 5 games do each of you believe had the smallest print run or which 5 currently has the least amount available?
