Well for starters they did not use the move and nearly a month of no first run programming to rebrand as simply "Impact Wrestling" and finally drop the horrible albatross of "TNA". Seriously, from day fucking one I thought it was a terrible name, who wants to tell friends and family what they are watching is called TNA?
Other than that rant the show seemed to pick up where they left off storyline wise, and while a hard reset would have been interesting, the last few months of Impact ranged from watchable to pretty good, so can't say continuing is a bad thing.
The production values were noticeably lowered, someone on Twitter joked that they should thank Ring of Honor for lending them their lighting rig on such short notice. But the 'rasslin was good and the storylines moved along without feeling rushed. Other than a vintage TNA clusterfuck of interference in the main event title match it was as good a show they have produced in the weeks before their hiatus.
It will be interesting to see how the ratings hold up though, as Destination America is available in under half the homes Spike TV is. I do like the replay at 11 right after the first airing, that should help whatever numbers they draw.
