I may be biased. Before I started generally ignoring Facebook and/or hiding 40% of the people on my friend's list (I like them as people in the contexts that I interact with them normally, I just don't like the nonsense they spout off on that site... I swear, social media brings out the worst in people), I had a handful of those anti-theist types on my feed, telling good people - people like Mike - "You're wrong, you're stupid, you shouldn't have your stupid beliefs" while constantly posting Ricky Gervais tweets, "motivational" posters, etc etc. Thus, I may have been conditioned, almost Pavlovian-like, to associate him with that type.
Again: I am not a man of faith myself, but I am anti-extremism and anti-hate, so those people irked me.

My boss did the same thing. He's now worm farming. Apparently the type he uses are excellent bait worms, though I don't think he intends to ever use them for that purpose, just for generating mulch.
