Some of these are "hole punch" cards...like the one for morning coffee. The gas cards I have to swipe at the pump. I have ditched those I can give my number for, but that's really very few of them unfortunately.
Yup. It is silly to have a separate business card holder, and I have no better response other than "that's just the way it works". However it does look professional and does seem rather handsome.
If someone pulled out a business card holder my instant assumption would be "douchebag". Doubly if he was wearing a suit. Might not be fair, but there it is.

I feel similarly about money clips. "I don't need to see you flash your bills, douche."
Stamps? You lost me on that one pal, in a hilarious way. I can only imagine "Oh Fuck! My niece is turning three years old in three days! Lucky for me I have these stamps in my wallet!". Keep your stamps in the junk drawer like everyone else. Stamps won't help you out in a pinch.
I keep about six stamps in my wallet which last me for the year. I've been gald they were there in the past and they take up less room than a post-it note.

Other things of importance in my wallet: Medical insurance card, library card, gift card(s). These are things that you want to have with you for moments where they are needed or useful.

Should always be kept in front left breast pocket to avoid pick pocketing.

It's similar to when women in big cities keep their diamond rings "palm in".

Most people don't share your taste for dressing up. I agree breast pocket is best if I'm wearing a sport coat, or even a shirt with one, but that's definitely not an every day occurrence for me.

I'M SURROUNDED BY DOUCHEBAGS!

DOUBLE DOUCHEBAGS!

I type that with a smile.

Fair is fair David. No harm, no foul. So here's the "thing" about how I learned about using a money clip. Words from my Pops: "Don't be an asshole." That should sum it up, but I will elaborate on the rules as when my Father gave me a clip.

You never show the clip.
You never show how much money is in the clip.
ONES always on the top of the clip. You never, ever keep a bill over one dollar on the top of your clip. If someone sees your clip, they need to assume you only have one dollar bills.
Tip everyone as if they were changing your son's diapers.
On the L, hold your chest and feel the clip. Do the same while walking downtown.
And I kid you not "It's more likely that you'll get stabbed than winning the lottery. Keep your money close and a bottle of water closer".

If one is so insecure that they need to have some gigantic rock to show how awesome they are, don't be a chicken and show it. Otherwise, just wear it to your fancy bash where you're competing against the other snobs and you're safe from the 'riffraff' or just wear sensible wedding bands and such.

Came for the Mexican food advice.

Stayed for the business card discussion.

Stayed longer for the run-on sentences.

Well, we know you don't have a buttock cavity and perhaps you'll be motivated to do some early spring cleaning. :)

Tanooki wrote:I maybe in Kentucky, but there is a place here in town that has been around probably 20 years called Fiesta Time. Owner is from Mexico, very nice guy and his whole family are staff and a few others too. The food there tastes better than the shit they called Mexican out in my area of northern san diego county where I was from except this one mom and pop place right across the street from my condo as that place was beyond good with their own custom stuff and above all their rockin salsa.
California Mexican food is different than Tex-Mex is different from true Mexican man.

Cali Mexican food is the worst though. Behind Chipotle/Taco Bell.
