Just wondering, which versions of Batsugun and Futari are we going to be playing in Feb/March? I was thinking of getting some practice in early...

I assumed we would be doing all versions. I know that is what we have done in the past, for example with Truxton and its vastly different ports.

The month is so young Doc, why not push Donpatch a little higher? There'll be plenty of time for the other games in their respective months.

I hope all versions will be allowed with respective scoreboards. Will be playing special version for Batsugun. Only have access to Futari 1.5 on 360, but will also be playing Black Label down the arcades.

And yeah, with Futari we are going to have multiple boards anyways, and leaving Black Label out would be a travesty. But, Maniac is much more interesting in 1.5, and in general those modes should be included for those that don't have the BL DLC.

And may as well just have the two Batsugun boards. I know I'll need a break from Jupiter milking and 4-loop madness, and the Original mode will be good for that.

My goal for Batsugun (other than 1cc ofcourse) is to be able to get the jupiter milking down, and in Futari to be able to reach stage 5. I'm not even touching Maniac mode.

Last time I gave Batsugun a good try, it was solely on the Saturn port. Not having an efficient practice mode made Jupiter milking a nightmare. Definitely going to use savestates to practice it this time.

If you're main goal is to hit Stage 5 in an Original mode of Futari, definitely get as many runs in on that Black Label board as possible. Its much easier to clear, if you aren't scoring too heavily.

I'm confident that you can 1cc Futari. Stage 5 isn't so bad. Batsugun is one I'm hoping to see a lot of clears on, but it will be interesting to see how many people Jupiter breaks. So much score from that one damn boss, like twice the amount you get from an entire loop at least.

... aaand, I really need to put more runs in on Donpachi.

Thanks for the support. Depending on how.much time I have in March, a 1cc MAY be feasible since I've got the first three and a half levels down, but we'll see.

I've actually got quite used to 1.5 over black label. And I guess practising on the harder version can only be good for my runs on black label.

But yeah, back to DP.

As always, any port/version of whatever the game is going to be will be accepted, but if there are changes to difficulty or scoring between the various ports as in the case of Futari I'm sure, we'll have scoreboards for all of them as well. I'll have it all sorted out.

I tried Type B with my new Buffalo USB pad (thanks again TSTR), but I didn't make it as far as I did with Type A or C.
