So you're saying the refresh rate seems slower with the New 3DS? This is worrying indeed. Keep us posted on how this matter pans out with other games please.

It's not the refresh rate it's that the pixels don't respond. It's the pixel response that's the issue. I will take some videos later (camera is capable of taking 120fps video so I will slow it down and you will be able to see the refresh rate).

That is concerning, looking forward to any videos you can record of this.

Think of early LCD panels when you moved things quickly across your screen.

Do you mean ghosting, as in the image blurs heavily as it moves? (Like the original Game Boy for example.)

Like what early PSP models suffered from (ghosting)?

That's the first thing that came to mind to me too, old GB or GB Pocket where the response time was poor so you'd get a blur/ghosting effect.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about. It's the pixel response being so slow that it leaves a trail when anything moves fast across the screen. I took some videos last night but I haven't had time to upload them. I tried F-Zero Maximum Velocity, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Yoshi's Island and Star Fox 64. F-zero and Mario Kart are perfectly playable. It's barely noticeable. Same goes for Star Fox 64. In the video you can see the ghosting effect on the ship as it moves quickly across the screen but it's not distracting. Yoshi's Island is definitely the worst offender out of the lot. I don't understand why it's so bad.

There could be something wrong with it, did you try Nintendo support?

I haven't tried Nintendo support as it seems to only affect Yoshi's Island, everything else works fine. I tried Monster Hunter 4 Unlimited yesterday and it looked amazing. I'm currently uploading the video to youtube and I will post the link here when it has finished.
