Re: Amiibo!!
I have every NA Amiibo now, spare an incoming Pit (Thanks Octopod!) and I haven't opened one. It's killing me. Initially, I had planned to open a full set and keep another set sealed, but now I'm seriously debating opening what I have.

You just have to come to terms with why you purchased them in the first place.

You're talking to the guy that has purchased multiples of consoles to "get the best box".
Love ya, s1mple, but you're a tad crazy.

OPEN! OPEN! OPEN! OPEN! OPEN! OPEN! OPEN!
Well...with the new announcement, at least keep the cool Mario figures sealed and open the basic looking Mario Party ones.

I'm on high alert right now for pre-orders going up - I don't wanna miss Ness, Lucina and Robin!
Re: Amiibo!!
Eronn - if you're keeping sealed because you like the look of them that way and just want to preserve them in that state for yourself, i'd keep them sealed and maybe pick up used ones w/o packaging on ebay once the inital craze dies down.
If you're keeping them as any sort of investment - I have to think there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people doing the same thing - i've seen enough articles and forum posts of people commenting on old sealed games and trinkets and thinking it's a good investment - that many people strategically now do this; not realizing that so many others are doing it and thus making them not uncommon and thus...not worth much more than opened items.
Knowing you, i'm sure it's the former - so keep them sealed for fear of regret and just get a second set.

Re: Amiibo!!
So, if I am reading this correctly, you have to re-buy the same exact Donkey Kong amiibo for it to work with Mario Party 10.
I guess it's a good thing that I could care less about Mario Party 10 (series has done nothing for me since the N64 days). I'll just buy the figures from that wave that are new or have new poses.

Right now, if you have a game that saves data to the amiibo, you can only save one game at a time per amiibo

Ok, that makes sense and shows complete lack of foresight by Nintendo. Bringing back Donkey Kong as an example, let's say he is your favorite character so now you essentially have to choose between giving up the save data or buying a duplicate amiibo.
