Good scavenging day

Post by Scooter »

I had to go to Omaha today which is about 40-50 miles from home just outside of Lincoln (Nebraska). Since I don't get there too often I planned some time to hit the local used game stores. The trip was productive.

I also got a copy of Virtua Tennis for my DC and a guide book for Splinter Cell. There are a few more gems out there I didn't get.....today at least.

Pretty decent score there. I'm not big on the Mickey platformers, but getting it complete is a pretty decent deal. How much did you pay total?

Wish I had a better place to pick up used games. The only spot where is this comics/used game store called Country Images. They sell a lot of NES, SNES, PS1 and PS2 games mostly. Not alot of great stuff, but I've picked up some gems over there.

I've gotten Gun.smoke, Golgo 13, Clash at Demonhead and Tecmo Super Bowl for 6 dollars each, and they all came with a black dust sleeve. Today I stopped in and got Xevious for 5 bucks and it came with one of those plastic cases NES games came in back when video rental places carried them.
I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

The case for Shining Wisdom is solid but the plastic is pretty dull. A better case would make it shine but they didn't have any $1 sports games with nice cases! The disc looks new and the back insert and book are also tip top.

Could be worse. I bought a copy from a guy on here and his dad apparently packaged it for him. mmmm....ok. And there was packing tape all over the outside case and no foam insert or packaging insde. So this case was trash and the disc got pretty scuffed up. Luckily the manual and insert were perfect and the disc plays without problems. I paid him 25 shipped and he refunded me 5 bucks. So for 20 bucks it wasn't too bad. Still.....i was pretty pissed.
