Strangely, I kind of hope that it doesn't. The lack of third-party releases will result in the overwhelming majority of the system's library being developed or published by Nintendo. Since Nintendo makes such great games, I can see the system's good game/bad game ratio eventually surpassing that of DSH's beloved 32X.
I don't care about 3rd party either, at all actually (in that I will likely be able to play most of them on PC; the fact that the Wii U is not getting Wolfenstein the New Order, for example, does not bother me in the least--I bought it for PC for $12 on Steam). 1st and 2nd are where it's at as far as I'm concerned. I just would be unhappy if Nintendo ended up abandoning the Wii U in two years say, due to bad numbers.

So.

I picked up a Pro Controller recently.

The Wii U gamepad has been dead for about 2 weeks now. It just sits there in the cradle doing nothing. I hate the simple fact that it turns on (when it had juice) even though I used the Pro to turn on the system. And it can't be shut down. Only the screen can be turned off. I have to go into a menu or two to do it and it would still drain anyway.

It doesn't make sense.

Being a Nintendo fan right now is ridiculous and exhausting, with having to hunt these Amiibo's and some from the 2nd wave never even hitting the retail shelf, at least from what ive seen.

I still havent seen Captain Falcon on the retail shelf at Target, and ill bet people will be waiting outside the store when Rosalina is replaced (mostly resellers, scum *spit*).

Now Ocarina of Time 3D is going for $50 used, at least on GameStop and Ebay!, Target doesnt even have it listed, and Best Buy has it for $24.99 used, but youll be lucky to find it CIB, or get it shipped CIB.

I just feel like i have to buy some Nintendo games NEW at retail if i want the Best deal, cause if i wait too long the used price will be more than the new.

Oh yeah and screw you resellers.

At least Ocarina of Time 3D has been out for almost 4 years.

It's still odd that it goes used complete for more than it did new given the trend in modern games is to go down over time, or with Nintendo just flatline since they refuse to cut prices most the time.

And yeah it's resellers causing an influence there on that and the amiibo abuse too.

Going down in price has never been the case with Zelda games since like the N64. They usually go up when they're no longer in retail circulation. It happens with virtually every release.

And at least it was available for 3 years, that's not that bad.

It's only unreasonable if you expect to buy any given game you may want for clearance prices.

I usually miss out on Mario Sports games because I don't want to pay full MSRP for them, they end up just going up in price.

I think a driving force for that is a lack of reprints. You've got similar situations with Starfox 64 3D and Kid Icarus Uprising, offhand. Doing a Nintendo Selects program for the 3DS (or DS for that matter) would likely be welcome, but I suspect that Nintendo would rather we just buy them on the eShop.

Interesting. Maybe this is just a regional thing? I've seen it selling new in a few Canadian Target stores for the regular price. Used price is generally still below that from what I've seen around here.

Did anyone see the bombshell that dropped?

Wii games being released digitally and Metroid Prime Trilogy was part of named titles.
