Mayflash will begin selling Gamecube controller adapters soon-ish for Wii U and PC via Play-Asia. I've had good luck with Mayflash in the past so it will probably work fine.

Digging a little further, I discovered they already have a single controller adapter on the market. That plugs into a WiiMote http://www.play-asia.com/gc-controller- ... -8aqh.html
Hopefully this might help out anyone having trouble finding the official Nintendo adapter.

Agree, Mayflash builds superb adapters. I bought the Dual Shock to Wiimote version which I prefer to get rid to the segemented stops in the analog sticks of the Classic and Gamecube controllers. Looks like the Gamecube version also has the same easily programmed auto fire for all the fire buttons.

Ah, cool. Yes, hopefully it'll help out with the official Nintendo adapters. Also, it works on the U and the PC out of the box? IIRC, the official Nintendo adapter only works on the U (and we only hope that the community will get it working on the PC).
