Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I love my Retron 5. I use it most for GBA, but the NES and SNES get some time there too. Amazing picture and sound.

Isn't it cheaper to just buy the one with HDD instead of buying the HDD separately?prfsnl_gmr wrote:I bought a 4GB Model E Xbox 360 this morning for $70. I can't wait to start collecting games for it.![]()
I need to get a hard drive, and it will probably cost me nearly as much as the console.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The game as a whole was a pretty decent game. I could have lived without the bars on the top an bottom though. The only thing I would do for sure is to explain the story a little more as you go. It is pretty convoluted and needs help. The game itself played well and was true to survival horror at many times. It made you feel like a real person as you played, not an over muscled super man. Graphically looked great with tons of great atmosphere.TechXRenAgadeX wrote:Anyone else here play The Evil Within?

If you're buying one new, at/around MSRP, then yes. There's about a $70 difference between a 4GB console, and one with a 500GB HDD, and the official drive has an MSRP of $110 (it's usually around $90 at retail though).RCBH928 wrote: Isn't it cheaper to just buy the one with HDD instead of buying the HDD separately?
It gets a lot less cut and dried if you're going with used, or start factoring in third party HDDs (which I think still don't work for backwards compatibility).

I almost made a big mistake or maybe I did make a mistake, I don't know but I what's my restaurant game store and they ended up getting a lot of Sega Master System games all of them complete. they had Double Dragon, Lord of the sword, miracle warriors spellcaster, wonder boy in Monster World, Rambo. Would of cost over 100.00. My impulse take was to buy them but I had to be smart and just walk away.
Its funny how for years I never see any master system games and now there everywhere. I like the system but I have to be influenced and look at master system threads or tribute sites in order to actually want to play the system or games.
I feel if I have to do all that then I don't think its worth dippie into especially that there are titles I still want on genesis and ps2. Would rather spend that money on snk collections/neo Geo collections on ps2 and the other complications.

I've been playing a lot of SimCity 4 lately.
I started a new city this morning and was playing for a few hours when the game crashed. I never saved.

Random question: Why did Sega change the name of the Mega Drive to the Genesis in America?
I know that with Resident Evil, it's name was changed from Biohazard to that because there was apparently a band named Biohazard - which makes it strange to me that Capcom was that afraid of stepping on the toes of a band called Biohazard when Sega changed their console's name to Genesis, which was the name of a fairly well known band.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Some company already held a Mega Drive trademark here in the USA.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Genesis sounds better anyway, IMO.
