I just finished playing through Ocarina of Time 3D. I really enjoyed it. Having played through the N64 title multiple times I can say that I love this port just as much. I suppose it will become the definitive version for me hence forth.

Nearing the end of Yoshi's Island for SNES. First time through as I never played it as a kid.

I never thought I'd say this about a Mario game but I really hate the controls. They feel WAY to loose. It's almost a game breaker for me. Does anyone know if the GBA version fixed this?

I don't think so. I feel they were pretty fluid. In bother versions I didn't feel a difference in controls. Any specific issue with the controls.

Yoshi's Island is the best 2D Super Mario game.

They just don't feel as tight as other 2D Mario games. Hard to explain. I've never had such a difficult time with a platformer. I know the common consensus is that this game is amazing but I don't love it. Still, I like it enough to see it through to the end.

Alright I understand but that's pretty cool that you kept at it till the end. Maybe the sequel on the DS may have changed the controls. I've only played that once and stopped because the last few stages became difficult. This was years ago too. The original game I've played half a dozen times so that sticks with me more.

Playing Double Dragon Neon. In some ways a definite departure from previous DD games, but it is still pretty fun and pays appropriate homage. Also pays homage to other things with some kitschy bosses. But the fighting is tight, if a little confusing at times, the music is fantastic (because Virt composed it), and it is two-player. Wish it was on-line 2 player. Is not, alas.

Trying another run through of XCOM Enemy Unknown, again getting my ass kicked. My big problem is getting sattelites up fast enough, which I'm working on, but it takes time.

Decided to reinstall Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Trying them with Tale of Two Wastelands so I can experience them all together, in the NV engine. Will report back with the results.
