Been totally random so far. Once it happened in a battle on the road to the first dungeon, once it happened near the end of the mines near parm (that one was annoying) and once just outside dom ruins just after I saved. All 3 times it ran just fine once I reloaded.

I just finished crossing the mountains! I'm a bit over 8 hours and finally feel like I have a decent handle on the world and combat/magic systems of the game. I'm glad that battles have gotten harder and now typically require some level of strategy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had some issues with the game freezing! It happened to me twice today and I was worried my game disc might have some imperceptible scratch or something! First in the mountains (at the start of combat) and then right AFTER the mountains (I returned to New Parm to save, opted to buy equipment/magic first and it froze THEN. T___T)
Hardware wise, this is actually the first game I'm playing on the BRAND NEW PS2 SLIM I won in LAST YEAR'S charity auction. My earlier PS2 has had one foot in the grave for a long time and finally kicked the bucket just as I attempted to start this up. It's a night-and-day difference in terms of fast loading times! But the freezing is an issue... OH WELL.

Anyone want to explain why some healing items have tastes? Like sweet bitter or salty?

I'm 12 hours in, in Dom ruins and not a single crash yet. Crossing my fingers.

Haven't seen Mana Eggs for a little while. Hopefully I haven't missed any. The game remains relatively easy regardless.

I suspect I'm ahead of everyone except for Bogus. Where u at bro?
You guys are catching up! I haven't had time to play, but I am still out in front. I don't want to spoil anything, but I am
over the End of the World.

Good lordy, I got left in the dust here haha. Well... the new Dragon Age suddenly got addicting and I started up a replay of Demon's Souls... I'll have to make an effort to get back to this.

Maybe I'll miss out this month, but I'll focus on it sometime this year at least.

Well I too have now experienced the dreaded PS2 freezing. Gonna hook up the PS1 later this evening.

"Grandia freezes on PS2" brings up several Google hits, I don't think it's just us.

Just entered the End of the World.
