I was hoping a cutscene would follow.

Glad I'm not the only one to take photos of ridiculous game dialogue:

Now that's hilarious, I'll admit this game has it's quirky dialog and man the quirkiness of it makes it worth it

I actually don't think that the quote was intended to be funny but more of a poor translation thing, they should of worded it "Sleep in my bed" not "Sleep with me", the latter makes it sound rather incestuous

Well yet I think we all got that from it. Though I don't think I've re-made it up that point yet...

Has anyone played Parallel Trippers?

I plan to eventually pick that up, along with the GBC Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia games.

Played some more of this last night. Minor early game spoilers ahead!

I visited the mines and got a pass for the ship. I quite enjoyed the scene of Justin leaving town - it was nice to actually be made to care about it, as opposed to most old JRPGs where they either banish you or everyone is killed, you're an orphan etc. etc. Justin actually has people he cares about who he's leaving behind, and it really made it more effective.

On the ship I progressed and met up with Feena. From her introduction I was worried she'd be an unbearable show-off, or would constantly put me down or some other such thing, but it was nice to discover that she was a nice and likeable character for a change. Normally the experienced hero types are unsufferable when they're introduced to you.

I then infiltrated the next dungeon and fought the lobster boss thing. He was actually pretty tough, and I used a fair few healing items on him. My main strategy was to use ciriticals to delay big attacks when possible, then use fire magic as Feena or V-slash as
Justin to deal damage otherwise. Sue was mainly on healing duty, or else criticalling to delay attacks.

Do I get more magic soon? I'd really like to get some water magic for healing so I don't need to load up my limited inventory with healing items.

The dialogue in this game is still charming and funny, and I generally talk to everyone twice. I wouldn't be surprised if this game takes me longer than it should because of that.

I beat the same bosses last night too.
I focused on the claws unless another part was sparkling. I still have sure equipped with projectiles so she is perfect for hanging back to heal or critical safely. Timing is everything. The first time I took on the boss I struggled, the baby got up so I had to turn it off. Played again, using the above strategy, and never needed to heal.

Slow progress for me. Opened up the Sult Ruins yesterday. At least I've fought some stuff now.

In Dom Ruins. About 10.5 hours in.

Found a way to exploit healing magic leveling here. Sue's water magic is now level 20.

Fun game. Really getting into the groove of things now and looking forward to playing it each night. Too bad I can only squeeze in 1-1.5 hours per day. I have a long road ahead of me.
